We are all aware that actress Sai Tamhankar is doing a commendable work of preparing the idol of eco friendly Ganapati and later converting it into a a small tree after immersing it into a an earthenware pot . The concept was designed by artiste Dattadri Kothur and Sai has promoted it this year. Those who have taken this idol home, are happy with the entire eco friendly process.

Another Marathi actor who has prepared Ganapati idol himself is Rakesh Bapat. This is also Eco Ganapati made of soft sand found at the bottom of the river. He has painted it with natural colours. Rakesh Bapat whose Marathi film ‘Rajan‘ will be released soon, has appealed to all the devotees of Ganapati to spread the concept of Eco Friendly Ganapati idols.

Marathi actress Shubhangi Latkar has also opted for Eco Friendly Ganapati . She has even avoided use of plastic and thermocol material in the decoration around Ganapati idol. Another popular Marathi actress Sonalee Kulkarni has also preferred eco friendly tiny idol of Ganapati . She spends 12 days with her family in Pune to celebrate this festival and immerses the idol in the artificial Pond created by the Municipal Corporation near her house at Nigdi, Pune. Actor Gashmeer Mahajani also believes in Eco friendly Ganapati idol. Gashmeer himself performs Pooja and stays at home during the festival.

Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Anaan‘ which presents Prarthana Behere in her new look, recently launched the Trailer and music at a grand ceremony held recently. Producers Raunak Bhatia & Hemant Bhatia of Rohan Theatres were present on the occasion along with director of this film Rajesh Kushte. The other artistes of this film, namely Omkar Shinde, Sukhada Khandkekar, Suyog Gorhe, Yatin Karyekar, Rajendra Shirsatkar, Uday Sabnis, Uday Nene were also present on this occasion apart from other special invitees.

The trailer of ‘Anaan‘ film clearly indicated that the film was offering a new subject. Music directors Saurabh-Durgesh have also offered a different style of music, with Sonu Nigam, Anandi Joshi, Ravindra Sathe & Saurabh Shetye rendering their voices for the melodious songs in this film. Out of 5 songs in this film, three songs penned by Rajesh Kushte were launched on this occasion. The film is ready for release all over Maharashtra soon.

New Marathi film ‘Hero’ offers song on Ganapati for the fest

Come Ganapati festival and every film maker wants to take advantage of the festival time to release the song from his film, so as to popularise during the festive mood. RPG Productions and Rajashree Gaikwad also released a song on Ganapati ‘Sukhakarta Tu Dukhharta…‘ from their forthcoming film ‘Hero‘, keeping in mind the mood of people during coming Ganapati festival. The song is rendered by Aman Trikha on the music of Ankit Shah.

Written by Kaustubh Pant, the choreography of this song is done by Firoz Khan and is picturised on actors Bhushan Patil, Kunal Shinde and actress Vaishnavi Karmarkar. Since this song has been released well in time before the coming Ganapati festival, the biggest festival in Maharashtra, director of the film ‘Hero‘  N.N.Siddiqui is confident that it will generate a lot of interest among devotees of Lord Ganapati.

After ‘Chaurya’ Sameer Asha Patil to direct film ‘Phurrr’

Eeffronn Entertainment headed by Mr. Kushal and Mr. Anirudh Singh are entering into Marathi film industry with their film titled ‘Phurrr’, which will be a content driven film by Sameer Asha Patil, after making his debut as a director through previous film ‘Chaurya’. Speaking about their film, producer Kushal said “Entertainment has two geners , one is pure entertainment and other is thought provoking entertainment which makes the audiences to think.”

While contemplating their first venture, they were searching for a director who has his own unique, creative and entertaining style of presentation on screen. Accordingly they met Sameer. During narration it was felt the Story of ‘Phurrr’ is not regular ‘run of the mill’ type. The story is written by Mehul Agaja. Sameer has a good grasp and vision which he proved already. That’s why we thought of debuting into Mararthi feature film with Sameer as his fourth Marathi Film. The film will be on floor soon.

The song and teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baapjanma’ were released recently in Mumbai, in presence of two important artistes of the film Sachin khedekar, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and director Nipun Dharmadhikari. Produced by Sumtilal Shah & Sixteen By Sixty Four Productions and presented by Sanjay Chhabriya’s Everest Productions, this film is all set for release on 29th September 2017.


‘Baapjanma’ is the debut film for Nipun Dharmadhikari as a director, who had earlier performed on stage. According to producers of this film, Nipun is today’s generation writer- director, who knew his job very well, while presenting this subject on father and son in a different way. Nipun however considers himself fortunate, to get a chance to direct renowned actor like Sachin Khedekar in his very first film as a director. Besides Sachin and Pushkaraj, the film also stars Sharvari Lohokare, Satyajit Patwardhan and Aakash Khurana in lead roles.

We have heard about the famous Wax museum Madame Tussauds in London for its wax statues of some renowned personalities, including Bollywood artistes. This Museum has many branches all over the world and recently they opened their new branch in Delhi, India. Now, Sunil Kandaloor a well-known wax sculpture artist in India is the first one to have a Wax museum in Lonavala and Kochi. Born and brought up in Kerala, Sunil recently opened his third branch in Devgad, Ratnagiri with the help of MLA Mr. Nitish Rane.

Actually, this Ganesh Utsav Nitish Rane decided to give a pleasant surprise to the natives of Kokan and he brought wax sculptures of the leading actors of Marathi industry Ankush Chaudhari and glamorous actress Amruta Khanvilkar, which has increased excitement among their fans. Both the actors Ankush Chaudhari and Amruta Khanvilkar have always been a style icon for the younger generation and have been favourites of the audience for their brilliant performances and acting skills. These wax statues were officially presented before the media persons and these two artistes , before they were taken to the museum.

Now days, new producers are coming forward to offer Marathi films on different subjects. Some prefer to present social issues with a touch of humour, while others send a strong message through their sensational subjects. Apsara Media Entertainment Network recently launched their two films together at a grand ceremony in presence of chief guest Ramesh Deo , the grand old man of Marathi cinema. The names of these two films have been announced as ‘Dabba Gull‘ and ‘Swabhimaan’. Both these films will be directed by Rohit Arya.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ramesh Deo was all praise for Rohit and offered his best wishes to him. Both these films have different subjects and the shooting for both these films will begin from October 2017. There will be renowned artistes in these two films, but besides them the makers of these films will be on tour of Maharashtra to select some new faces also, to be part of this film. Rohit Arya has himself written the story, screenplay and dialogues of ‘Dabba Gull‘ and ‘Swabhimaan’ films, while the music will be by Sai-Piyush.
