Four Marathi films have lined up for release this Friday

Vikram Gokhale, Spruha Joshi, Sulekha Talwalkar, Friday, Pictures
Come Friday and we will notice the release of four Marathi films together, creating a competition among themselves. They are ‘Siddhant’, ‘Prime Time’, ‘A Paying Ghost’ and ‘Dhurandhar Bhatawdekar’. Barring ‘Siddhant’, which seems to be sensible film based on the principles of Mathematics creating light comedy, the other three seem to be traditional entertainers.

‘Siddhant’ which is produced by three well known film makers, namely Nilesh Navalakha, Vivek Kajaria & Amit ahirrao, is directed by Vivek Wagh and is a story of a wonderful relationship between Grandfather and his grandson. Vikram Gokhale who plays the central character of a grandfather, is likely to steal the show.

‘Prime Time’ which is produced by Himanshu Kesari Patil and directed by Pramod kashyap, is a story of Vaishali Apte, played by Sulekha Talwalkar  and her craze about small screen. How she takes her family on an adventure filled journey, is all that the film is about. ‘Dhurandhar Bhatwadekar’ deals with the interaction of these personalities with situations and events. It is a typical entertaining film, with a simple concept, based on the differences between diverse personalities of people. With the presence of characters representing different age groups, it may turn out to be a family entertainer. A lot is expected from Veterans Mohan Joshi and Dr.Mohan Agashe .

‘A Paying Ghost’, as the title suggest, is a tale of a big family of ghosts living in the house of a young man called Mama, played by  Umesh Kamat. How this family of ghosts interfere in the life of this Mama and his beloved Mami, played by Spruha Joshi, is what the screenplay of this film is about. Now, it is for the Marathi theatre audience to decide, what is their choice during coming week end.
