Release of Three Marathi films a week, has become a routine now

Sonali Kulkarni, Sugar Salt ani prem, Nagrik, Tujhvin MarjawaFor the past few weeks we have been watching bulk releases of Marathi films. But, how many of them have really been able to invite the audience at the theatres? It is difficult to give the exact number, as no film maker wants his film to be called a ‘flop’ film. So, each one of them try to make claims about good response, through social networking sites. According to reports reaching us, only ‘Sandook’ has managed to draw somewhat better response, among all of them.

Now, this Friday, we are going to witness release of three Marathi films simultaneously. And, all three of them have been doing their promotions, in their own way. But, frankly speaking ‘Nagrik’, which has already bagged five awards each, in two different award functions, namely, State Film awards and Prabhat film awards. Above all, the film is already a topic of discussion, as it is reported to have exposed the corrupt administration, showing the nexus of Politicians, businessmen and media houses.

Actor Sachin Khedekar playing the protagonist, certainly stands tall, among the other popular artistes of the other two films. But, you never know the taste of today’s audience. Well, we all know that ‘Tujhya Vin Mar Javan’ is a typical love story of youngsters; but, multi starrer ‘Sugar Salt aani Prem’ could also turn a winner. Let us wait and see, who wins the race, this week end.
