Singer and musician Salil Kulkarni is soon going to open his music school in Kothrud. His aim would be to teach singing to young singers in all the age groups.

Speaking on the occasion he said, 'I have a few students learning singing from me. But I thought of doing something for all. Hence I got the idea of opening a school. I was approached by a number of people during Sa Re Ga Ma. I have taken this decision only after consultation with my colleagues.'

The school would be open from children of age 6 to elderly and the teaching would be imparted through four groups. Apart from Salil Kulkarni, other singers like Anjali Marathe- Kulkarni, Meghna Sardar, Prachi Kokil, Sai Tembekar would be teaching at the school. Renowned singers, musicians and poets would give lectures and training to the students.

“The only criterion for admission in my school is a bit of knowledge of music and a passion for learning more,” says Salil. He adds, “We would also be teaching how to compose songs and write poetry.”
