New Look of ‘Asmita’ is impressive
Detective Marathi serial ‘Asmita‘ on Zee Marathi, now bears a new look, with slight change in investigating the cases by Asmita played by Mayuri Wagh and her team members comprising of Sid, Manali , Bandu, Rakesh & Sameer. Some of the cases taken up by this serial, during the past 2 3 weeks , were really timely and interesting, with a good message passed to the home viewers, besides making them aware of the happenings around. There were some cases, with injustice on helpless women. The case taken up about molestation of a blind girl in a running train, was well presented, with skillful investigation carried out.
On Sunday afternoon , watching all those episodes together, was like watching a feature film.But, we expect that ‘Asmita‘ should also help such victms showing the names of addresses of instutitions helping such helpless women, on the lines of the programme ‘Satyamev Jayate‘.
In the late night 10.30 pm slot, there is a new serial ‘Raatris Khel Chale‘ beginning on Zee Marathi, in place of ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari’, which has said goodbye , half heatedly .Will be missing them all from coming Monday. It will be difficult for the new arrival, to entertain the same audience, as the subject of the new serial is totally different and based on superstition, that’s what the first look indicates. Hope, the subject presented is to remove superstition.
On Colors channel, popular veteran Marathi actress Alka Kubal Athlye is presenting a programme titled ‘Darshan‘ and one thought that she would make this programme interesting; but during the week, we saw her presenting a businessman from kalyan and the focus was more on that individual; rather than places of worship. One expected this programme to show the importance of old religious places and their history. But, the other serial on Colors channel ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya‘ presenting the childhood days Lord Ganesha is turning interesting, with some unheard stories.
Now, a 24×7 Marathi movie channel has been launched. Originally, it was running by the name ‘Aapala talkies‘. Now, it has been re branded as ‘Fakta Marathi’ . We have also seen couple of evergreen Marathi films ie. ‘Eena Meena Dika‘ , ‘Navri Mile Navryala‘ .. First time on it.

‘Ganapati Bappa Morya’ – Mahesh Kothare’s new offering on Colors Channel
After achieving success through his Super hit mythological serial ‘Jai Malhar’ on Zee Marathi, Producer director Mahesh Kothare is now all set to offer his next mythological serial ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya’, which will be telecast this time on Colors Marathi channel. This will be much bigger project, cost wise, than the previous serial, as the set cost of this serial has touched around 1.75 Crore. Even otherwise, while offering a serial based on mythology, there is lot of cost on art design, costumes and special effects and the well known film maker, has accepted all these challenges. Having gained a lot of experience through ‘Jai Malhar’, this time, we expect something big from him.
‘Ganapati Bappa Morya’ will be telecast from Tuesday 24th November 2015 at 8.30 pm from Monday to Saturday. Since, this serial is based on mythology ,with more emphasis on Mother –son relationship, it will be interesting to see the events involving Parvati and Ganesha. With women and children likely to shift to this serial, Zee Marathi’s ‘Majhe Pati Soubhagyavati’ will face a tough competition, at prime time 8.30 pm.
Actually, this serial witnesses overacting from Vaibhav Mangle, especially in his original male appearance, in all those scenes of excessive drinking in the company of friends and later abusing others. Even otherwise, Vaibhav Mangle taking his hair dresser for granted, to use her house, for his change over, that too in absence of her husband, looks odd and unconvincing.
Incidentally, Colors have also started an entertaining reality show for housewives, ‘Aamchya Gharaat Suunbai Joraat’, anchored by Harish Dudhade (‘Majhe Mann Tujhe Jhale’ fame).With new team games for housewives, the show is likely to compete with Aadesh Bhauji’s ‘Home Minister’ on Zee Marathi. After dismal show in the initial episodes, their comedy show ‘Aali Lahar kela kahar’ seem to have shown some improvisation, taking up the local issues of Mumbaikars and especially Marathi people, through the skits in the recent episodes. But, in ‘Asa Sasar Surekh Bai’, they need to include some interesting happenings, rather than stretching on the problems faced by Yash’s uncle and his family. But, the saving grace of this serial is Mrunal Dusanis, whose presence on the screen, makes the viewers happy.
It is better not to talk much about ‘Star Pravah’ serials. It is high time, they replace their old serials, with outdated subjects with new offerings. Now, they are also facing competition from who have also started showing serials on social issues with better subjects, that too at prime time. And, we have already covered them last time.

कलर्स मराठीवर ‘गणपती बाप्पा मोरया’ प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला

‘गणपती बाप्पा मोरया’ ही मालिका पार्वती – गणेश या मातापुत्राच्या ममतेच्या अलौकिक नात्याचे विविध पदरही उलगडणार आहे. या मालिकेत बाप्पांच्या प्रचलित आणि सर्वश्रुत असलेल्या गोष्टींसोबत काही अपरिचित कथाही बघायला मिळतील. या मंगलमय गणेशकथांसह शिवपार्वती आणि इतर देवदेवतांचे दिव्य दर्शन, तसेच डोळे दिपवून टाकणारे शिवालय, नयनरम्य नंदनवन ही पावित्र्याची प्रतीके सर्व महाराष्ट्राला मंत्रमुग्ध करतील. असा विश्वास या मालिकेचा निर्माता आणि क्रिएटिव दिग्दर्शक आदिनाथ कोठारे ह्याने दर्शिवला.
एकंदरीतच उत्तम अभिनय, अभ्यासपूर्ण कथा आणि उच्च तंत्राद्यानाच्या सहाय्याने मांडलेल्या अश्या पौराणिक कथा नक्कीच प्रेक्षेकांमध्ये लोकप्रिय होतात. गणपती बाप्पांची हि नव्या स्वरूपातील तेजोमय गाथा, इतर पौराणिक मालीकेंच्या तुलनेत हि नवी मालिका प्रेक्षेकांना किती पसंतीची पडते ते लवकरच कळेल.
