Priya Marathe

“I am certainly looking forward to act in films” – Priya Marathe-Moghe

She is Glamorous and sweet. Priya Marathe who made her television debut through Zee Marathi’s ‘Ya Sukhano Ya’ couple of years ago, found suitable roles in following productions like ‘Kalat Nakalat’, ‘Char Divas Sasuche’, ‘Ha Khel Savalyancha’ & ‘Goshta Eka Collagechi’, In Hindi, ‘Kasam Se’ was her debut serial, which unfortunately didn’t click well. After that she did one season of ‘Comedy Circus’ with Sunil Pal. We have also seen her in ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hai’ & ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

Priya has shown considerable progress in her acting field, besides completing her graduation in science with distinction. Marathimovieworld.com in close conversation with her:

Priya MaratheQ. How you shifted to acting field ? Did you have any background?
A: I never thought about acting during my childhood. That period, we all dream of becoming a doctor, engineer, pilot etc, which I feel is a childish thing. Those were not real dreams. But, after going to college, when I started participating in inter collage drama competitions and received best actress prize, along with fresh face of the year, my confidence developed. Actually it was Alfa Karandak, organized by Zee TV. They had given a chance to winner for their serial; but unfortunately I didn’t get selected in audition at that time. But after a couple of months, I received call for audition for their new serial and got selected.thus began my career with ‘Ya Sukhanno Ya’.

Q. What attracted you to the role of Priya in ‘Tu Tithe Mi’?
A: I wanted to play a youthful character. Priya’s character is full of intrigues. There is a mystery element to the character. I found many shades as well. Perhaps, the Director noticed something me, as they didn’t want to show a typical character for that role.

Q. Don’t you feel discomfort, since it is a throughout negative role?
A: This Girl is madly in love with Chinmay’s character. From her point of view, she is trying all possibilities to get back to her lover. I have done couple of negative roles before this, but those were not a full length negative roles. In comparison, this is a big role. I have accepted it as a challenge. Also found something different to do.

Q. Where do you find you more challenges? Playing a heroine’s role or a negative role?
A: To play a heroine also; no doubt, there is hard work. But, to play a negative role, you need to be more careful. Because, in a positive role, you will find many examples from our daily- real life. To play a negative role, you are dependable on your director, script and your own imagination to apply skills to that character’s behavior. Also, in a negative role there’s a very thin line. Hence, attention is to be paid not to overreact.

Q. In ‘Tu Tithe Mee’ serial, you have displayed rich designer sarees. How often do you wear saree in real life? What are you comfortable with ?
A: I’m more comfortable with Jeans n T- shirt. I also wear Churidar Kurta. For traditional functions, I always wear sarees, but not the way, shown in the serial.

Q. Have you experienced any strange incident in real life, where audience have questioned you, about your character in this serial?
A: Yes, on many occasions this happened. Once, I was at a social function. One old lady came forward and squeezed my hand, asking me as to why I was running Manjiri’s life? She warned me not to bother her, any more. Actually, I take this as a compliment. I am happy that I am able to convince the script writer through that character.

Q. We have seen you in Hindi serials also, Tell us about your experience, working for Hindi television?
A: Basically, we all know that there is a major difference in budget. But, apart from that personally one difference that I noticed as an actress, is that, while working in Hindi, you get a lot of exposure, you get noticed by large audience at the national level. In regional serials, we have limited audience. Marathi serials are mainly watched by only Maharashtrian audience. Hindi television is watched widely and you receive attention from maximum people.

Q. Have you tried any other Hindi serial?
A: Recently, I have left Pavitra Rishta, which I was doing for a long time. To be frank, currently I’m not interested to play the roles of mother, grandmother, aunt, etc.

Q. You have married Shantanu Moghe, who is the son of veteran actor Shrikant Moghe. How did it happen?
A: Couple of year’s back, we met at our common friend’s place. Then, we started meeting each other and soon we got involved in each other and had a love marriage. As you know, Shantanu is also an actor like his father, who is a veteran actor from Marathi Theatre, Television & Film industry. My mother in law is a doctor. I am glad that I have got such a nice family. They all encourage me and offer guidance. We also have discussions on many other subjects.

Q. Apart from ‘Tu Tithe Mi’, what other projects you are associated with ?
A: Now, I am working only in ‘Tu tithe Mee’, having quit ‘Pavitra Rishta’ recently. It was difficult for me to manage for both the serials. Presently, I’m in talks with some filmmakers, for couple of film projects. If everything works out fine, hopefully you will see me soon on silver screen. I am certainly looking forward to act in films.

Q. How often do you watch Marathi movies? Which is the movie, you saw recently?
A: Recently, I saw ‘Balak Palak’ in theatre, which I liked a lot. Before that, I don’t remember which movie I saw last. But, sometimes I do watch selective movies on TV, which have received good review.

Q. Now, in Marathi Movies also, actresses are doing bold roles, like we have seen Sai Tamhankar wearing bikini. Personally, as an actress, what are your comments?
A: This is her professional choice, like I have chosen a negative role in ‘Tu Tithe Mi’. And there is always a reaction from audience for every work. They have a right to give their opinion.

Q. Would you say ‘yes’, if you were offered to wear bikini in films ? I mean such kind of role?
A: See, at this moment I can’t say anything; but definitely, if I get such offers, I will think over it. If the role demands, I might be do.

Q. What types of roles you would like to play?
A: I want to choose graph of the character, even if it’s a small role. It doesn’t matter which genre it belongs; whether comedy, serious or a negative role.

Q. Which medium do you prefer? Television, theatre, film?
A: I haven’t worked in film yet; so I can’t comment, So far I have enjoyed working on television a lot. I loved it.

Q. Have you ever acted in any professional drama?
A: No, Not yet.

Q. Which is your favorite color.
A: Black.

Q. You favourite actor and actress?
A: I do like Hrithik Roshan. Also I’m a great fan of Madhuri Dixit, and she is my favorite actress.

Ashwini Shende, Lyrics, Writer

“Every song has its own identity”- Ashwini Shende

After hearing those mesmerizing title songs of the Marathi serials ‘Kalat Nakalat’, ‘Anubandh’, ‘Kulvadhu’ and ‘Majhiya Priyala Preet Kalena’, one always thought of the lyricist for writing those meaningful words. Obviously, Ashwini Shende who penned those lyrics, gets the credit for making these songs so popular. Some people even downloaded them as caller tunes on their cell phones. Ashwini, however attributes the credit to her parents Chandrashekhar & Medha Shende, who encouraged her towards reading and music during her school days.

Ashwini Shende, Lyrics, WriterHaving studied from Borivali’s Suvidyalaya and Parle’s Sathe College, Ashwini does not forget her teachers, who according to her paid more attention on her artistic talent rather than the percentage of marks scored in the exams. Being passionate about reading, Ashwini could compile her own set of words for incorporating them into meaningful lyrics suited to different situations. For the past three years she has bagged the Best lyricist award from Zee Marathi, making a hat-trick. Marathi Movie World had a chit chat with Ashwini to know more about her field of interest.

Ashwini Shende
Q: Why did you choose this profession and whether this is your full time profession ?
A: Writing is not only my profession but my passion. Without writing ,be it a song, dialogues or any other matter; I just cannot sit quiet. More important is what I am writing rather than for which production house I am writing. Before entering this profession, I used to write poems. In fact, for 3-4 years I worked as a Journalist for ‘Indian Express’ and ‘Loksatta’. When I wrote the dialogues and lyrics for TV serial ‘Kalat Nakalat’ my passion for such writing turned into a profession.

Q: Many of your songs penned for films and TV serials have become very popular. How do you feel about it ?
A: Feeling nice about it. Actually, what I visualize, I try to put it in simple words. The more
simpler are the words, better the chances of the song becoming popular. I avoid using the typical Marathi language used during olden days. When I get the feedback from people that it is because of the simple language, they could understand the song well, I consider it as an achievement.

Q: Which was the first song penned by you ?
A: My first song was for Vaishali Samant’s album on devotional songs but I wrote my first song ‘Abhaas ha..’ for the film ‘Yanda kartavya Aahe’.

Q: How do you look at this Marathi Film Industry? Is there enough scope for a lyricist like you ?
A: Marathi film industry is progressing these days with good quality films being produced. Even music has its own place here. As a lyricist, I have gained a lot from this industry. Besides writing, I never thought of doing anything else here. What Mr. Gulzar has achieved in film industry, I would like to be something close to that, if not to that level. And I am sure Marathi film industry would offer me that scope.

Q: What is your personal opinion on ‘there cannot be a film without songs’ ?
A: Poems, songs are the medium of expressing your emotions through words. I don’t think that to make a film popular, you need to have songs in it. If you look at the sad song in ‘Iraada Pakka’ and Khel Mandala in ‘Natarang’, you will notice that the story moves ahead through these songs. The wordings in it has the power to turn the audience emotional. I would love to write such lyrics. I am of the opinion that there should be songs in a film only with the demand of the situation. Take for example a film like ‘Shwaas’, which turned out to be a very good film, without songs.

Q: Is there any interference, after your song is finalized?
A: Once the song goes to the Music director, our authority ends. Now, if some of the words do not fit into the beats, the changes are required and those changes could be of a word or one line also. But, every song has its own identity and it should reach the audience is only our concern.

Q: Tell us something about a memorable moment in your life.
A: When I sit for writing and then complete the same, every moment spent during that period is memorable for me. Even if I have done title songs for 10 serials, the one for 11th serial is given the same importance, as if it was my first song. The force with which I deliver it, it should reach with the same force to the audience.

Q: Till now, for how many films and Tv serials you have written the lyrics?
A: May be title songs for 30-35 serials and 15-20 songs for films.

Q: What are your future projects?
A: I am writing songs for films ‘Partner’ and ‘Manya the Wonder Boy’, which are important project for me. Besides that I am busy writing title songs for few more serials. Some albums are there in the pipeline. I am also writing songs for Chandrakant Kulkarni’s drama ‘Ashi hi 20-30′ which is something new for me.

Nilesh Moharir

Imagination is the key – Nilesh Mohrir

Almost 21 title songs of popular serials, 14 non film music albums and music for 7 movies. What more one could have asked for ask for from a young music composer Nilesh Mohrir ? This youngster has not only received prestigious awards in a short span but has also been felicitated with some big honours like Anil mohile Purskar, Yuwa Gaurav Purskar, Kala Gaurav, Manavata Gaurav and many others in appreciation of his music.

Nilesh MoharirWhile doing his graduation in Music and Sound recording from Mumbai University, Nilesh had the privilege of learning the basics from Anil Mohile and Achyuta Thakur. Then, he brought out many private albums with reputed companies like Times, Fountain, Sagarika and Krunal. Besides that he also worked as Music arranger. However, he got a boost to his career when he got an opportunity to provide title song to Zee Marathi’s ‘Kalat Nakalat’. And, that’s how Nilesh became a popular name in every Maharashtrian house.

There was no stopping for him after that as serial makers lined up at his place. For the past five years he has been providing quality music and title songs for every serial he has done. Looking at his film journey, how can we forget that beautiful composition rendered by Rahul Vaidya and Vaishali in ‘Yanda Kartavya Aahe’? His recently released film ‘Manya-The Wonder Boy’, also speaks about his hard work and dedication, while offering relevant tunes required for the purpose. Especially, his background score in this film invites

MMW had a chit chat with Nilesh to know more about his achievements and his future plans.

Q: How did you land into this field and whether it was your own decision to take up this career?
A: To tell the truth, till my college days, I wasn’t sure whether I would be seriously taking up this as my career. During that period, I used to listen to music and even performed as a singer. But, during 1994-95 when I heard songs composed by A.R. Rehman for the film ‘Bombay’, I was inspired and also thought that one day I should also be able to produce such a kind of music. Since then, I stated believing Rehman as my guru and focused on all such requirements to study music in detail.

Q: Oh! That means he is your ideal ?
A: Yes.

Q: Now we find so many new music directors mixing up Western Music with Hip-rock and South pattern and fitting into it the Marathi lyrics. Don’t you think so ?
A: (Smiles) True. In some cases it does happen. But, if you ask my personal opinion, I would say that between experiment and imagination, it’s imagination that is important. If you don’t imagine and keep working within the four walls, then many a times you fail with your experiments and I would not like to be a part of it. Whenever I compose music, I ensure that when a western or non-marathi genre is used, the suitable matching lyrics are to be incorporated to meet the requirement.

Q: But, for the past 5-6 years we have been observing that all these new songs are based on South film songs or English pop.
A: Actually, if it is based on South style, it is okay as it has our own regional base. But, if the songs are composed using those foreign instruments, then it misses the Marathi essence. For such compositions, care is to be taken that the sound of instruments should not cover up the singer’s voice. In short, the song should convey the sentiments through words effectively.

Q: In the past, we have seen the Music directors getting the name and fame. But, now days, though people remember the songs of new music directors, they tend to forget their names. Don’t you think so ?
A: Exactly. This is a very big topic of discussion. There are many reasons, but basically the condition of music directors is almost the same as that of Marathi Cinema. In spite of availability of so many mediums, Marathi songs are not reaching to the people. In the past Akashwani used to be the best option open to play Marathi songs, which were heard in full length. But, today we see the dominance of Hindi on all radio channels, where even an average song is played repeatedly to make it popular. For Marathi songs, there is no such option. Many of my best compositions therefore haven’t reached people. Those who know me, is only because of my title songs for Marathi serials, as I have managed to reach their homes

Q: The present generation is Net savvy . Like Mobiles and television, the internet has become a part of their life. Then, why you are not using this medium for promotion of music?
A: Right, today because of internet so many good things are happening. Like me, there are many other newcomers who are making best use of internet. But, to make Marathi music popular among them, it will certainly take some more time.

Q: Which is your favourite song composed till now ?
A: To be frank, my latest song ‘Nur ada, Nur ada’ in the film ‘Manya-The Wonder Boy’ is my favourite composition. Even my media friends have appreciated it and I have been receiving compliments from well wishers for the same

Q: After ‘Manya’ what’s more in films? Are we expecting some more title songs?
A: I have composed music for three more Marathi films namely: ‘Partner’ , ‘Platform’ and ‘Nirruttar’. Among them ‘Partner’ is based on Va Pu Kale’s novel. ‘Platform’ has already been acclaimed at film festivals. For 2-3 forthcoming TV serials, I am composing title songs.

Q: Great! We are all eager to see your compositions filled with melody.
A: Thanks.

Aniket Vishwasrao – Dashing and Vibrant Marathi star

Marathi film industry can count very few dashing and dynamic heroes and one of them is Aniket Vishwasrao. No wonder, during the recent Maharashtracha Favorite Kaun? awards, he was adjudged as the Best Style icon of the year. For the past few years, Aniket has made his presence felt through few TV serials and movies. It was his bad luck that when his solo hero film ‘Rang Berangi’ was released, it was the scare of Swine flu, which prevented audience from coming to theatres. But, Aniket had his best time, when he almost rocked with his role in Mahesh Manjrekar’s big banner multistarer film ‘Fakta Ladh Mhana’, which was directed by well known Cinematograher Sanjay Jadhav.

As a schoolboy from Dahisar, Aniket took active interest in dramatics while he studied in St. Francis High School, Borivali. But, when Aniket joined M.L. Dahanukar College, Vile Parle, his real journey into acting field began. He participated in competitions doing one act plays and even won an award for best performance. It was during his second year in college, he was selected for an important role in a Marathi play ‘Nakalat Saare Ghadale’ starring two versatile actors like Vikram Gokhale and Savita Prabhune. Things changed thereafter for Aniket, who made up his mind to turn professional actor and make a serious career in acting.

Aniket Vishvasrao, Actor

With his appearance in debut TV serial ‘Oon Paus’, Aniket came into limelight and thereafter, there was no stopping for him. Playing a very important role in his next serial ‘Kalat Nakalat’ increased his confidence and Aniket was soon a recognized hero in Marathi entertainment industry. As a hero in 2008, he had done a film ‘Guilty’ which was his second film with Kumar Sohani. But, Aniket’s real test was in a Hindi feature film ‘Hava Aane Do’ made by Partho Sen Gupta, where he performed a parallel hero with Nishikant Kamat opposite Tanishtha Chatterjee and Rajashree Thakur. The film was acclaimed at various film festivals abroad, but could not be released in India, due to Censor problem. The film was shot on the backdrop of India-Pakistan war, when the two youths almost get ready to work abroad after a long struggle.

A perfect gentleman, maintaining good PR with people around him, Aniket spoke to Marathi Movie World. Excerpts from an interview:

Q: For a youngster who studied from a convent school, was that easy to perform in Marathi initially ?
A: I didn’t have any problem, as in our house we conversed daily in Marathi and I always respected our culture, by reading and watching Marathi newspapers and TV programmes.

Q: When did Aniket Vishwasrao actually came into limelight as an actor?
A: I think, it was after ‘Oon Paus’ that I received the recognition as an actor.

Q: But, your film debut was through ‘Havaa Aane Do’( Let the wind blow) a feature film? What was the role you played in this film ?
A: I played a protagonist. It was a very good film about directionless youth influenced by foreign culture. When they decide to finally settle down in their lives, the Indo-pak war breaks out. The film had problems with censor, but received applause at various international festivals abroad.

Q: You also had a very good solo hero role in ‘Rang Berangi’. Don’t you regret that the film was released at a wrong time ?
A: Yes, it was our bad luck that during that period, there was a big scare of swine flu and people kept themselves away from theatres. In this film, I had a good role, suited to me. But, never mind. I had another opportunity through ‘Fakta Ladh Mhana’ a big banner film. And, I did receive the compliments from well wishers.

Q: When we saw you winning the Style icon award at the Maharashtracha Favorite Kaun? ceremony, you also invited other nominees to share the award with you. Are friends so important to you ?
A: Yes, though they were nominated along with me, they are very good friends and artistes. I felt that they too deserved that award and hence the gesture.

Q: Do you have real friends in this entertainment industry? How do you find time for them ?
A: Yes, I do have friends in this entertainment industry. Santosh is one of them. He is a common friend of some of my friends since my college days. We do find time sometimes.

Q: Now, that you and Pallavi are close friends for the past 4-5 years, when do you intend to get married ?
A: Not very soon. We need some more time for that.

Q: Who inspired you to take up this acting career ?
A: There are many people, but I cannot forget Hrishikesh Joshi, Mr. Sudhir Bhatt, who gave me my first break into Marathi drama and Mr. Vikram Gokhale from whom I learned the initial lessons of acting.

Q: Any forthcoming projects ?
A: Yes, I am eagerly awaiting for my film ‘Tendulkar Out!’ This film may be released by December end or in January 2012.

Ashwini Bhave

Ashwini Bhave , Interview

A Philosophy graduate, A well known actress in Hindi and Marathi movies, a writer and now a producer, well that’s a small list of Ashwini’s achievements till now.

Ashwini BhaveAshwini’s acting careers began with the Marathi drama ‘Gaganbhedi’. She debuted with ‘Shabbas Sunbai’ into movie industry and later established herself as a successful actress with hits movies like ‘Ashi hi Banava Banavi’, ‘Kalat Nakalat’ and ‘Aahuti’. She also acted in TV serials Rau, Sainik, Bandhan and Bhairavi. Her entry into Hindi movie industry wasn’t a small affair. Her performance in R.K banner’s ‘Heena’ impressed everyone. Ashwini has received best actress awards from Govt. of Maharashtra for her performance in ‘Aahuti’ and for the role in drama ‘Purush’ (Hindi).

But Ashwini suddenly disappeared from the screen and now, after an absence of 10 Ashwini-Bhave
years, she has returned with a bang!!! This time she is not just the actress but the producer too.

Q: What exactly inspired you to make a film?
A: Well, after marriage , I went to America and got busy with my family, but the actor inside me was disturbing me somewhere. That’s why I did a 4 yrs degree course in ‘Motion Film and Television’ from California University in 2002. As a part of final year project, I prepared a documentary film on Warali Art named “Warali Art & Culture” which was shown in MIFF (Mumbai International Film Festival) 2002. This gave me a confidence me that I can make a film, And I think that’s what lead me to produce ‘Kadachit’.

Q: What did you experience while working as a co-producer?
A: In every field you experience something good and something bad. In fact the idea of this film emerged form our chit-chatting with Chandrakant Kulkarni and Girish Joshi. But soon after I realized that it is very hard to materialize ideas into reality.
As a co-producer, I realised that film production is a team work and not only producer’s responsibility. Each and every stage of production i.e.- Pre Production – Production – Post Production is important and the persons working on that particular stage are of prime most importance. Right from spot boy to actor, editor, sound recordist, cameraman, director…Well, this is only about production team. Once you get sensor certificate the focus changes. Now the responsibility is shifted to distributors, theatre owners, designers and production managers. The most important thing is right from the first moment of the creation to the end of the work, it is producer’s responsibility to keep harmony and zeal of the work among the team members. When it comes to production money matters and I think that there should not be any compromise about finance if you really want to do something to the perfection. Fortunately, I had dedicated team members who worked hard and gave their best.
Q:What is most challenging ? Acting, Writing or Production?
A: You cant say specifically, because everything has its own challenges they give you satisfaction of working. We should learn to take these things as a challenge then it becomes more exciting. It’s important to be honest to yourself.
In acting, the director tells you what to do and what not. You get your compensation and that’s it. Same is the case with writing. But as a Producer, you cant just release your film and stay away as you are emotionally involved in that particular creation. Its all up to audience how they respond.

Q: Any special reason for selecting Chandrakant Kulkarni as a Director of ‘Kadachit’?
A: As I told you before the storyline arose form our discussion with him. Besides, he has given several silver jubilee films like ‘Bindhast‘, ‘Bhet‘, ‘Kay dyacha Bola‘. He has directed around 60 marathi plays. He is simply one of the best directors today. I would like to give him full credit for completing my film within 22 days and that’s not a small deed.

Q: Tell us about your role in ‘Kadachit’.
A: This the story of a modern woman, who is a caring mother, wife and a Neuro-surgeon. It’s about how she confronts the problems arising form her past and present. It was really a challenging role. But, I am think that I have done justice to the character despite being away from acting for 10yrs.

It’s a song less movie as there was no point in thrusting song unnecessarily. Amar Mohile’s inscrutable music would really give you an edge of the seat excitement.

Rujuta Deshmukh, Actress

“Working with Amitji, was a memorable moment” – Rujuta Deshmukh

Charming, self assured and talented are some of the adjectives one can use for Rujuta Deshmukh, who has been able to establish her own identity in today’s competitive world. Acting has already been in her blood, being born in the family who owned a drama company in Pune. Her father Avinash Deshmukh, who owned a theatre company, gave Rujuta her first break as a child artiste, when she was studying in 4th standard. Rujuta then played the role of Rajaram, in the historical play ‘Raigadala Jhevha Jaag Yete’. This was followed by roles in Marathi films like ‘Nashibvaan’, ‘Ek Gadi Baki Anadi’ and many others as a child artiste. In short, she has worked in the company of popular artistes like Alka Kubal and likes. Rujuta is a graduate with English Literature from Pune’s prestigious S.P. She got her first major break through Vinay Apte in the most popular serial ‘Abhalmaya’ and since then she has never looked back.

Rujuta Deshmukh, Actress

Her memorable performance in another popular serial ‘Kalat Nakalat’ and her emotion filled role of a blind girl in another serial ‘Goshta Eka Anandichi’ goes on to say a lot about her potential as an actress. Two years ago, she has also proved her dancing skills in a TV reality show, suggesting that as an actress, she was ready for all challenges. Rujuta took time off to have a chit chat with Marathi Movie world. Excerpts from the chit chat.

Q: What are your memories about ‘Abhalmaya’, your first major exposure on small screen?
A: Yes, it was a great moment, which is very difficult to describe in words. Being a part of this popular soap on a popular private channel, gave a nice feeling. I cannot forget that character of Pallavi.

Q: You were also part of another popular serial ‘Damini’. How was that feeling ?
A: Again it was a happy moment to be a part of this big serial and playing Dr. Esha in the concluding part and that too in the company of great stars like Sanjay Mone , Sukanya, Uday Sabnis and others.

Q: You have also worked in one big banner Hindi film. Isn’t it ?
A: Yes, it was in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film ‘Family’.

Q: Wasn’t that a great experience too? How were you selected for that role?
A: Yes, it was a memorable moment in my life and also wonderful experience to be part of this film, as there was also good scope for my character, being an important member of a Sahai family. About playing this role, he just spoke to me and asked about my availability. And, that’s how I was selected. I was literally thrilled, as I had to perform few scenes also with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

Q: How was your personal experience, working with a big star like him ?
A: He is a great actor and hence getting a chance to perform with him itself was a great moment in my life. After I gave my first day shot, I went and sat in one corner watching some of his scenes filled with emotions. He was simply a master in that. After his shot, I never noticed him going into his vanity van. Instead he sat on one side, watching others perform. That displayed his modesty. But, when I crossed him in the corridor during the break, he addressed me with my first name and exchanged pleasantries. I was overwhelmed with this gesture from a great actor like him.
