As a part of their film’s promotion, recently Nagraj Manjule and Sayaji Shinde met C 16 batalion of Chandrapur Police who have been fighting naxals over there. Both Nagraj and Sayaji spent some time in the company of of these policemen. They also showed them the trailer of their film which was very much appreciated by them. In this film Nagraj Manjule has played a smart aggressive Police officer. So, let’s wait and see how this duo will impress the Marathi film lovers, after the film’s release.

Trailer of Nagraj Manjule’s latest film ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ directed by Hemant Avtade, which was released recently, goes on to say a lot about this film. Firstly, it is an action filled film and secondly it has a message to convey through its story. In this film, you will find Nagraj Manjule playing an important role along with versatile actor Sayaji Shinde and youngsters Aakash Thosar, Sayali Patil and others.

First romantic song of ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ released
Zee Studios and Nagraj Popatrao Manjule have released first romantic song of their forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ on the occasion of Valentines’ day. This brand new romantic song ‘Gun Gun….’ In the voices of Ashish Kulkarni and Kavita Ram has been composed by music director A.V. Prafullchandra on the lyrics of Vaibhav Deshmukh. In the film this song is picturised on
Aakash Thosar and newcomer Sayali Patil.

According to Music director Prafullchandra, “All the romantic songs from Nagraj Manjule films are heart touching and every frame of the song is beautiful. Therefore I have tried to make the wordings of this song more melodious. You will experience this through this song.”
Nagraj Manjule was also all praise for music director Prafullchandra. “ He has really worked very hard for the past four years for the songs of this film. I feel that music is the soul of the film. Whatever we cannot explain through story, can be explained through music. And Prafullchandra has done this through his music. I am sure the audience would appreciate the songs.” This film will be released on 7th April 2023.
‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ getting ready for release
Much talked about Marathi film ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ by Nagraj Manjule produced in association with Zee Studios is getting ready for release during the new year 2023. The shooting of this film has been completed. In the past Nagraj Manjule and Zee Studios had made successful films like ‘Fandry’, ’Sairat’ and ‘Naal’ and therefore there is a lot of curiosity about this film’s subject. Though Nagraj Manjule has produced this film, he will not be directing it. The film is directed by Hemant Jangal Awtade. But, Nagraj Manjule will be playing an important role of a Policeman in this film.
Along with Nagraj, the film also stars Sayaji Shinde and Aakash Thosar in lead roles with others.This film will be released simultaneously in Marathi, Hindi Tamil and Telugu languages. Speaking about his film, Nagraj Manjule says, “ I have worked with Zee Studios in the past and my experience of working with them was very satisfying. I am happy for having completed the shooting of this film, but at the same time I have turned emotional for having spent so many days together with my unit. It was a pleasure working with versatile actor like Sayaji Shinde . Aakash with whom I had worked earlier is a talented hard working actor.”
‘Kaalsutra’ will be an action packed Marathi web show

Ever since Subodh Bhave read the story of ‘Murder Milestone’, he was keen on making a web series on this subject. His dream came true, when Jio Studios backed him and together with his production house ‘Kanha’ he is making the web series suitably titled ‘Kaalsutra’ which will be released soon on OTT platform.
Directed by Bhimrao Mude, this action filled thriller will star Subodh Bhave along with Sayaji Shinde, Anant Jog, Urmila Kanetkar Kothare, Bhau kadam, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Shubhankar Tawde, Umesh Jagtap and Ashwini Kasar in lead roles. The story of this series revolves around a dangerous serial killer and an accomplished Police officer and their mind game.

Forthcoming Marathi Web show ‘Kaalsutra’ announced by Jio Studios is based on Salil Desai’s bestseller novel ‘Murder Milestone’. It revolves around a honest Police officer and serial killer who has been declared guilty of eight murders and is on a death sentence. The producers of this serial are confident that the first season of this web show will be appreciated by the viewers.
This web series (Kalsutra) which is offered by Jio Studios and Manjiri Subodh Bhave in association with Kanha Production house and has a strong star cast comprising of versatile artistes like like Subodh Bhave, Sayaji Shinde, Anant Jog, Urmila Kanetkar Kothare, Bhau Kadam, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Shubhankar Tawde, Umesh Jagtap and Ashwini Kasar.

‘Lochya Zaala Re’ trailer released in presence of artistes
Whatever may be the danger posed by Corona virus, but the Marathi film industry seems to have taken the ‘Show must go on’ approach. As we see reduction in cases, we find the events related to new films held with regular intervals taking due precautions. The makers of ‘Lochya Zaala Re (लोच्या झाला रे)’ released the trailer of their film recently, in presence of all artistes of the film.
‘Lochya Jhala Re’ is all set for release in theatres on 4th February 2022 and the film stars Ankush Choudhari, Siddharth Jadhav and Vaidehi Parshurami in lead roles. The film also stars Resham Tipnis, Sayaji Shinde, Vijay Patkar, and Prasad Khandekar in prominent roles.The story of this film is based on popular drama of Suresh Jayram with the same name. This is the first Marathi film by Navin Chandra of Mumbai Movie Studios and is directed by Hindi film writer Paritosh Painter, who is making his debut in direction through this film.
The trailer of this film is interesting but it remains to be seen whether it will draw good number of audience in theatres.
