Nowdays, there are more and more Marathi films being announced with quality subjects. One such film ‘ManaChe Shlok’ which has been announced recently, will be released on 1^st August 2025. This film  is being produced by Ganraj Studios, Sanjay Davra and Nitin Vaidya. The video of this film which was also released on social media, is also inviting the attention of film lovers, as this door has been painted half red and half blue.

The highlight of this film is that it is written and directed by Mrunmayee Deshpande and she plays the lead role in this film, opposite six heroes, who are played by Rahul Pethe, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Suvrat Joshi, Siddharth Menon, Harisg Dudhade and Karan Parab. It may be recalled that in the past, Mrunmayee had written and directed a Marathi film ‘Mann Fakira’.

Mrunmayee says that the story of this film had come to her mind and she has now got an opportunity to present it through this film.

After making quality Marathi films like ‘Tee Aani Tee’, ‘Well Done Baby’, ‘Victoria’,  ‘Baapmanus’ and ‘Musafira’ on variety of subjects, Anand Pandit Motion Pictures Pushkar Jog have once again come together, to present their new film ‘Taboo’. Shooting of this film has concluded recently and this film will be released early next year. This film is written and directed by Pushkar Jog.

Pushkar Jog himself is playing lead role in this film opposite Hemal Ingale. New actress Purvee Mundada will be making making her debut through this film. Besides these three artistes Vishakh Subhedar, Abhijit Chavan, Kishori Ambiye, Vijay Patkar, Prithvik Pratap and Anushta Sarkate will also be in lead roles in this film. Speaking about his film , Pushkar Jog says, “This is my sixth film with Anand Pandit and it has always been a pleasure working with him. With ‘Taboo’, we will be offering something new, as we would like to take Marathi cinema to international level.”

Highlight of this film is that this is the first Marathi film, which has been shot in Amsterdam and Paris.

‘Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke’ a biopic on the life of legendary Singer and Music director Sudhir Phadke is now all set to release on 1st May. Recently, the trailer of this film, was launched by MNS Chief Mr. Raj Thaceray in presence of artistes on this film and invites. During this ceremony the songs of this film based on ‘Geetramayan’ were played .

Popular Marathi serial ‘Thipkyanchi Rangoli’ on Star Pravah completed 100 episodes last week. Known for promoting the Joint happy family culture and set on the backdrop of Nashik city, this serial directed by Girish Mohite had invited  very good response among home viewers in all age groups. This is mainly because of the representation of different age groups in the form of various characters played by combination of new and experienced talented artistes.

The highlight of celebrating the 100 episodes coincided with the marriage ceremony of the lead characters Shashank Kanitkar and Apoorva Vartak played by Chetan Wadnere  and Dnyanada Ramtirthkar and the arrival of Apoorva’s mother Dr. Anjali from USA. The film produced under the banner of Vedika Film Creations will be released all over Maharashtra, during the Valentine month on 4^th February 2022.

 Newcomer Shalvi Shah is the leading lady of this film opposite actor J. Uday. The other artistes of this film are, Mohan Joshi, Yatin Karyekar, Anil Nagarkar, Ravi Kadam, Yogesh Pawar, Sachin Maske as well as actress Prachi Palwe in important roles.
