After releasing the poster of their film on social media, the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Fakaat’ have announced the release date of their film on 19^th May 2023. The poster of this film shows the big team of artistes comprising of Hemant Dhome, Suyog Gorhe, Avinash Narkar, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anuja Sathe, rasika Sunil, Nitish Chavan, Kiran Gaikwad and Mahesh Jadhav.

The poster of this film which also shows LOC secret file and money scattered around it, also indicates that it will be an action comedy film. According to director Shreyas Jadhav, “It will be a purely ntertaining film, which will present comedy and action besides highly confidential amusement. All the artistes in the film are good and they have done justice to their characters.”

Prominent among the Marathi artistes bagging title role in Hindi web series is Anuja Sathe Gokhale. Anuja plays title role in ‘Ek Thi Begam’. She was already there in Season 1 of this web series, but now, in Season 2 she has much wider scope, playing an angry young woman who is in search of the Don responsible for her husband’s murder. In Season 2 you will see her handling a gun, for which she has taken proper training to present her character more realistically.

This is not the first time, Actress Anuja Sathe has been offered the lead role. Earlier she played the lead character of Dhara Solanki the main protagonist in Hindi serial ‘Tamanna’ , besides playing prominent role of Radhabai in ‘Peshwa bajirao’ serial and ‘Khoob Ladi Mardaani – Jhansi Ki Rani’, where she played a negative role of Jankibai. The film is produced and directed by Hemant Kumar Mahale who has so far successfully organised Indian musical shows abroad. Since ‘Whats app Love’ will be his first film, he wants to make it a musical film. Besides Javed Ali, the film also offers other renowned singers like Asha Bhosale & Shreya Ghoshal. The trailer of this film which was also released on this occasion, clearly suggested that for ‘Whats app’ users this film will turn out to be a perfect guide. The film stars Rakesh Bapat, Anuja Sathe, Persian actress Sareh Fer, Pallavi Shetty, Anup Choudhari and Anuradha Rajadhyaksha. Music by Nitin Shankar, lyrics by Ajita kale and camera by Suresh Suvarna are the other credits.

The film will be released all over Maharashtra on 12th July 2019.

Known for his humorous way of entertaining the audience, as an anchor Pushkar Shrotri is a popular choice at many events of Marathi entertainment. On Wednesday evening, he played that role, while introducing the lead artistes of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ghantaa‘ produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, Shailesh Kale & Rohit Shetty and directed by Shailesh Kale. The three lead artistes of the film who were targeted on this occasion were Amey Wagh, Saksham Kulkarni & Aroh Velankar. They were later joined by leading lady of the film Anuja Sathe Gokhale.

During this function, those special invitees who toasted the three lead artistes were Mahesh Manjrekar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Amruta Subhash, Jitendra Joshi and Pushkar Shrotri himself. Surya Film Creation’s new Marathi movie ‘Rakhandaar’, which was in news recently, is releasing on 26th Sept ’14 all over Maharashtra. In this world, some feel that God is to be felt within, while the atheists question about existence of God. Producer, Director Dr. Mrunalinni Patil, has toyed with this idea, in her latest film ‘Raakhandaar’.

A simpleton, Sadanand Lokre (Jitendra Joshi), is an innocent person, who believes in helping his neighbours without any expectations. But, in the process, loses his job and starts working in his late father’s shop as a cobbler, with the only thought in his mind, ‘work is worship’. Khushaba (Ajinkya Deo), appears in the scene, as a villager with his special attire, and meets Sadanand, who realizes and believes that Khushaba is godly personality.

In comes, Australia returned Madhavi (Anuja Sathe), who falls in love with the innocence of Sadanand and they get married, defying Madhavi’s father’s wish of she getting married to the Manager in his office. Later, she gives birth to a son. Just before that Sadanand prays to God, for a son. But, unaware of her husband’s wish, Madhavi promises a return gift to God, that she shall return the same back to him.

There’s a villain in the form of Manager, (Anup Choudhary), who is bent upon marrying Madhavi, who tries, in vain, to spoil her marital bliss; with his childish acts. Khashaba – the Raakhandaar, of whom Sadanand & Madhavi’s son Chhota- Malhar (Master Shreeveer Kadam), also gets extremely fond of; affectionately calls him Devappa, who is always there to rescue our Sadanand whenever in trouble.

The story by Anand More, is a bit lengthy and screenplay also bit patchy. Some scenes erupt abruptly, without any connection to previous scene. Editing should have been handled a bit professionally. Jitendra Joshi does justice to Sadanand, with his innocent face and his couple of one-liners do collect laughter. Anuja Sathe has done very well, as bubbly as well as serious Madhavi and has good screen presence. Ajinkya Deo who plays Raakhandaar, looks handsome in this character and has done justice to his role. Music (Kanak Raj, Sameer Phaterpekar) is saving grace of the movie and filming of songs is very good. Background score of Sameer Phaterpekar, is apt.

Cinematographer Jehangir Choudhary is successful in capturing the required mood of the film. Director, Dr Mrunalinni Patil has tried to camouflage fiction with drama, with some philosophy thrown in. There’s always a next time. Jai Maharashtra. Jai Malhar…..Yalkot Yalkot Jai Malhar.
