Inviting popular Bollywood personalities for the poster and music launch of their films, has set a new trend in Marathi film industry. In the recent past, we have seen many such Bollywood personalities showing their presence for at such events. Now, the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Family 420‘ had invited well known singer Anup Jalota to launch the poster of their film, that too in Nagpur.

Clearly suggesting through its title, the film ‘Family 420‘ will be a comedy produced by Dev Raaj under the banner of Lavanya Productions & Creations and will be directed by Santosh Gaikwad. Highlight of the film is the presence of two popular Bollywood comedians Asrani and Sunil Pal in this film, along with Upasana Singh, Vijay Patkar, Vijay Kadam, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Ashish Newalkar, Harshada Patil, Sukanya Kulkarni, Geeta Nikharge and others.

Popular singers in Marathi like Avadhoot Gupte, Vaishali Made, Bela Shende, Sudesh Bhosale & Neha Rajpal have rendered their voices for the songs in this film, on the music of Sushil Pendhari. The film will be released soon.

Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Family 420‘, as the title suggests, is based on comedy subject, to offer entertainment and only entertainment. Produced by Dev Raj and directed by Santosh Gaikwad, the film will throw light on present social system in a humorous way.

The film ‘Family 420′ offers  all versatile artistes, known for their perfect timing in comedy. Besides popular Marathi artistes like Vijay Kadam, Vijay Patkar, Sukanya Kulkarni, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Harshada Patil & others, the film also stars Bollywood artistes like Asrani , Upasana Singh & Sunil Pal in prominent roles. The makers of this film are confident that their film would offer wholesome entertainment, with good story and music. Known for his famous dialogue “Hum Angrezon ke Zamaane ke Jailor hai…” in the Super hit  film ‘Sholay’ , actor Asrani has been in this film industry for the past 50 years . At 75 today, he is doing a Marathi film, ‘Family 420′, which is produced by Dev Raj and directed by Santosh Gaikwad. Keeping in mind his image as a comedian, he has been offered a suitable role and Asrani is very happy about it. “The character I am playing in this Marathi film, is totally different from the characters I have played in the past. The most difficult thing in acting, is to make the audience laugh. But, I took up this challenge. “ he said, after signing this film.

Director Santosh Gaikwad  also very happy that an actor like Asrani said ‘yes’ to his offer.  According to him, the film will deliver a social message, besides making the audience laugh.   To join Asrani in this film, will be other popular artistes like Sunil Pal, Upasana Singh, Vijay Kadam, Vijay Patkar, Swapnil Rakshekhar, Harshada Patil, Aashish Newalkar, Sukanya Kulkarni & Geeta Nikharge. Written by Subodh Nagdeve, the film’s music is by Sushil Pendhari.
