]]> Popularly known as Grace, renowned poet and writer Manik Godghate paased away today at Pune’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. For the past few months, he was fighting his battle against cancer. Grace was recently conferred with the Sahitya Academy Award for his famous collection ‘Varyane Halte Raan’. Though it came late, it was at least received by him in the hospital.

In the past, Poet Grace had received State award in 1968 for his collection ‘Sandhyakalchya Kavita’ ( Evening poems). He was also honoured with other prestigious awards like ‘Poet Keshavsut award, Dinanath Mangeshkar award, G.A. Sanman, Nagbhushan and Vidarbha Sanmaan etc. We, at Marathi Movie World pay sincere tributes to his departed soul.
