Writer Kshitij Patwardhan‘s latest Marathi play ‘Bhumika’ has been receiving admiration from educational and cultural fields. This contemporary play which has presented 125 shows so far, has received invitation from prestigious Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre( NMACC) to perform the show of this play on 22^nd May 2026 @ 7.30 pm at their Grand theatre.

Another good news for this play is that this play has been included in the curriculum of Mumbai University’s TY BA . ‘Bhumika’, which is a mixture of commercial success and artistic excellence has turned out to be a modern classic. Recently, this play won the Popular Master Deenanath Mangeshkar award, besides winning 15 prestigious awards. Many prominent personalities have praised this play.

 Moreover, publication of a book on this play was released recently, by renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. Directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni this play has popular actor Sachin Khedekar playing the lead role and making his comeback to Marathi theatre after a long gap of 21 years.

Radhika Bhide who shot into fame with her first Marathi song ‘Mann Dhavtay..’ is now making her debut in films as a singer through a song ‘Ho Aai..’ rendered by her in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Uttar’. This emotion filled song is penned by writer- director Kshitij Patwardhan with music provided by Amitraj.

The song describes wonderful chemistry between mother and son relationship. The combination of Kshitij Patwardhan and Amitraj have together already given some hit songs. And now, with this song singer Radhika Bhide has added a special flavour to this song. This film ‘Uttar’ stars Renuka Shahane, Abhinay Berde, and Hruta Durgule in lead roles. Produced by Zee Studios and Jackpot Entertainment, this film will be released on 12th December 2025.

Teaser of forthcoming new Marathi film ‘Uttar’ was released recently. The teaser presents the emotion filled story of Mother and son in today’s time. This film produced by Zee Studios and Jackpot Entertainment is directed by writer turned director Kshitij Patwardhan.

In this film versatile actress Renuka Shahane is playing the role of Mother, while Abhinay Berde is playing the son. Hruta Durgule is also playing an important role in this film. According to the makers of this film, the film presents the story of every mother and son and the emotional relationship. But, it will make the audience think, after watching the film, which has the answer.

But, to know the right answer, the film lovers will have to wait till 12^th December 2025.

And now, they are getting ready to release their next Marathi film with the name ‘YZ‘, a term generally used to call someone stupid or unwise. But, according to the makers of this film, this film will change its meaning after it is watched by audience from all age groups.

Recently, the first poster of this film was unveiled at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, Mumbai. So, it has become clear that the film stars Akshay Tanksale & Sagar Deshmukh . And, it has become clear that the film will be a comedy, to entertain the traditional Marathi audience. And therefore, it has raised the expectations of the audience.
