Speaking about his role, Siddharth himself says, “My character in this film is totally different from the kind of characters I have played so far. I attribute all credit to Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar for this look. Actually, Mahesh Sir had asked me to send my photo. When he completed the work on this photo, he sent me that photo. I just could not believe that it was my photo. At present, I don’t want to talk much about my character, but I am sure that the audience would appreciate my new look.”

Speaking about his look in this film, Mahesh Manjrekar says, “Till now, I have performed variety of characters, but never played a Sadhu. On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, writer- director Mahesh Manjrekar has announced his new film ‘Punha Shivajiraje’ with Siddharth Bodke in lead role. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Manjrekar said, “Maharashtra will only listen to Maharaj and therefore Maharashtra needs Shivraya at this moment. Through this film I have tried to offer social message in an emotional way.”

Speaking in the language of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he added,” This is the future of my Maharashtra. If anyone plays with their sentiments, then they will have to face dire consequences.” In short, this film does not only become a historical film but will take the new Maharashtra towards the thinking process of Shivaji Maharaj, which need to be followed now.

Actor Siddharth Bodke will portray the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in this film and the shooting of this film will begin shortly.

 After releasing the first poster few days ago, Writer- director Mahesh Manjrekar has released the trailer of his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Hee Anokhi Gaath’ recently.
