Multi starrer Marathi film ‘Dil Dimag aur Batti’ which introduces newcomer Sagar Sant is now all set to release on 22nd April 2022. Recently, the trailer and music launch of this film took place in a big way. On this happy occasion, the entire star cast of this film along with writer director Hrishikesh Gupte, presenter Dr. Nivedita Ekbote and technicians of the film were present.

Earlier the poster of this film had taken the viewers down memory lane of the Eastman colour period of 80s and now the trailer of this film has promised them dual entertainment. It will offer the entertainment formula of 80s in the present time. Highlight of this film is the entry of an promising actor like Sagar Sant, who has already proved his ability as an actor on Marathi stage through Purshottam Karandak one act plays, followed by his experience of directing a Hindi short film.

Along with Sagar the film also stars popular artistes like Sonali Kulkarni, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Vandana Gupte, Pushkar Shrotri, Kishore Kadam, Anand Ingale, Vaibhav Mangle, Mayuresh Pem, Sanskruti Balgude, Sakhee Gokhale,Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Revati Limaye, Meghana Erande, Sanjay Kulkarni Vinit Bhonde. Shemaroo MarathiBana, the Marathi movie TV channel, have announced a Special Diwali  treat for their Marathi viewers, with the Marathi version of the blockbuster action epic franchise, ‘Baahubali’. The film will be aired on 4th November exclusively on Shemaroo MarathiBana. Highlight of this Marathi version is that leading artistes  of Marathi film and theatre Dr. Amol Kolhe, Pravin Tarde, Sonalee Kulkarni, Gashmeer Mahajani, Uday Sabnis, Sanskruti Balgude, and other popular artists have lent their voices to the eponymous characters. So, with  their voices, ‘Baahubali’ will come to life in Marathi ensuring a rare treat this Diwali .

Further, to give it a perfect Marathi look, Shemaroo  have paid attention on Marathi songs with the help of . Famed Marathi music director, Kaushal Inamdar , who has recreated the tracks without  losing the classical instrumentation and gravitas of the original, while popular singers Hamsika Iyer, Avadhoot Gupte, Sanjeev Chimmalgi, Bela Shende, Adarsh Shinde, Hrishikesh Kamerkar, Ketki Mategavkar and Mugddha Karhade have lent their voices to the melodious songs. The songs have been translated to Marathi by writer and lyricist Vaibhav Joshi, Milind Joshi & Asmita Pandey ensuring that the original flavour and meaning is retained.

On the other side, Zee Marathi channel is all set to present their new serial ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari’, which is targeted at young audience. This new serial is about six friends Kaivalya, ashutosh, Sujay, Aana ,Minal & Reshma. The serial is produced by popular cinematographer-director Sanjay Jadhav’s ‘Dreaming Twenty  Four Seven’ company and is all set to air on 9^th March at a new time 10.30 pm. Vinod Lavekar is the director of this serial.

By the way, if Zee Marathi has to compete with new programmes expected to be offered by Colors-Marathi, it has to seriously think about  new subjects during prime time. It is high time to say goodbye to serials like ‘Honar Sunn Mi Hya Gharchi’ and ‘Julun Yeti Reshimgathi’ as both these serials have failed to appeal during the past few weeks.

On the eve of International Women’s day, DD-Sahyadri presented a very good informative programme ‘Hello Sakhi’, in which we saw Meghana Erande sharing her valuable experience in the field of Voice over and dubbing. Meghana appealed to all newcomers to train themselves in this field, as career wise it was a good option.  According to her, for all those aspiring actors, knowledge of Voice Over and dubbing, is a must.

On TV 9 Marathi, we saw actress Kranti Redkar expressing  her frank views on women’s rights. “I am myself fighting for my rights against a media company, filing defamation case against them. Every month I go and attend the hearing, because I feel that no one should take a woman for granted,” she said. When asked for a message to other women, she said, “Every woman has to strike a balance. On the contrary, If she is too much submissive, she cannot do justice to herself.”

Rainy season and love make a good combination. What transpires after the peeping sun rays pass through the rain drops , is known to all. Suitably titled ‘Indradhanu’ has thus been the title of the new music album based on devotional songs based on love. This music album will be released at the most appropriate time when monsoon has clearly indicated its presence in city of Mumbai. So, at 8 pm on 17th June 2010, the gates of Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, will be opened to welcome the invitees for this glittering ceremony.

On this happy occasion singers of this album- Swapnil Bandodkar, Vaishali Samant and Amey Date will present a live performance with Meghana Erande playing the programme host. Popular Marathi film personality Mahesh Kothare will be the chief guest of the function.
