During Diwali festive season, Oddball Motion Pictures released
their most awaited film ‘Dev Devharyat Nahi’s  artful logo on social media.  This film starring legendary names like National Award Winner  Vikram Gokhale and Suhasini Mulay along with debutant Meghna Naidu and Reena Aggarwal.

This will be the first Marathi movie to release in theatres in 2021 after almost a year-long pandemic scare that kept the cinema halls shut.

Meghna Naidu who has done films in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam will be making her Marathi Debut with this film. She also plays an important part in the film.

This social Drama is directed by Pravin E Birje, as per him  Vikram Gokhale and Suhasini  was the  first name cames into his mind which will be perfect casting for this film and he is very happy to have both of them in this film.  He is very confident about the script and looking forward to see audience’s response once film is released  in next year.

Walking down memory lane by remembering the fun instances of their first schedule, the team also wished each other and their fans and audiences a happy and safe Diwali. They reminded people about social distancing, use of masks and sanitizers.

 Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale said, “The film is close to me, and when I heard the narration, I instantly said yes. The movie deals with an important topic and it must reach to a maximum number of people and I am sure everyone will be able to relate with the subject. I belong to such a school where I do not believe in only my work should be good, I make sure all must work equally well, and I try and help others.”

 Oddball Motion Pictures are on a high after the critical success of Gulshan Devaiah & Sagarika Ghatge starrer ‘Foot Fairy’ which premiered on &pictures as the first ever Indian film to be released straight on television. With 4 films in development, 2021 surely looks promising for them.

The grand event titled ‘Times Marathi Film Icon 2019′ felicitated three prominent Marathi artistes like Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Manjrekar on this occasion. But apart from these three other talented personalities like Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ajay- Atul, Guru Thakur Aadarsh Shinde, Vikram Gaikwad & Mahesh Limaye were also honoured.

Reacting on his felicitation legend of Marathi film industry Ashok Saraf said, “This award is like an acknowledgement for my work. I was always having a doubt whether what I perform is really appreciated by the audience? But, with this award that doubt has been cleared.” Renowned actor director Producer Sachin Pilgaonkar also thanked Times Group and recalled his memories of his film ‘Ashi Hi Banvabanavi’ which was made by him 31 years ago. He also paid tributes to late Viju Khote who passed away only few days ago.

Ajay Atul whose music had popularised among music lovers during the past decade entertained the audience singing in their melodious voice. Among others who entertained the invitees were singers Priyanka Barve, Aditi Bhagwat and the team of ‘Bharatiya Digital Party’ which presented their stand up comedy. Pushkar Shrotri anchored the show . The title of the film ’31 Divas’ has already raised a lot of curiosity among Marathi film lovers. And now, with launch of this film’s music of this film composed by Chinar Mahesh has also confirmed that it will be musical film. The makers of this film B.S. Babu and director Ashsih Bhelkar decided to release only three out of four songs from this film, as according to them the fourth song is at a turning point of the film’s story and hence they want the audience to watch it only while watching this film. This is also one way to keep the audience guessing about the theme of this film.

Though 31 Divas is the debut of director Ashish Bhelkar, he has had the experience of working as assistant director to reputed film makers like Madhur Bhandarkar, Prabhudeva & Remo D’souza. There are few actresses in Marathi, who after joining Marathi films, have later found better roles in Marathi. Ashwini Bhave, Varsha Usgaonkar are two prominent names among them. Now, one more Marathi film actress is making her headway into Bollywood. She is Reena Aggarwal. Don’t be surprised with her surname. Reena Aggarwal made her debut through Chandrakant Desai’s Marathi film ‘Ajintha‘ few years ago and just few days ago we saw her in recently released Marathi film ‘Zhalla Bobhata‘ .

But, the good news about Reena Aggarwal is that she will soon be seen in forthcoming big budget Bollywood film ‘Behen Hogi Teri‘, which also stars Shruti Hasan, Rajkumar Rao and Gautam Gulati. It is understood that Reena Aggarwal has a prominent role in this film and has just returned from Lucknow, where she was shooting for this film.
