We are all aware of the presentation of ‘Geet Ramayan‘ penned by poet G.D.Madgulkar through the mesmerising voice of Late Sudhir Phadke popularly known as Babuji. Recently actor turned producer Sunil Barve’s Subak in association with legend Ramesh Deo’s Ramesh Deo Productions gave a new look to this ‘Geet Ramayan‘ through dance performances combined with beautiful lyrics and songs. And, it was very well received by the large audience present at the Shanmukhanand Hall, Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Barve thanked Mr. Ramesh Deo for supporting the idea of presenting this unusual show. Mr. Ramesh Deo said that it was necessary to add songs and dances to invite the attention of the new generation, to understand this great epic. He was all praise for Sonia Parchure, who presented the most important sequence Jatayu dance. He also announced that in future this show will be presented at different places on public demand. In fact, the idea of presenting ‘Geet Ramayan‘ in this form was of Sonia Parchure and her husband Atul Parchure anchored the show and Kamlesh Bhadkamkar provided the music. Ajit Parab, Hrishikesh Ranade, Vibhavari Apte & Shamika Bhide also presented the original songs of Sudhir Phadke.

Besides Ramesh Deo and Sunil Barve, other dignitaries like Abhinay Deo, Ajinkya Deo, Seema Deo, Sachin Khedekar, Anand Ingale, Pushkar Shrotri were also present.
