The makers of the forthcoming Marathi film, ‘Salman Society‘ recorded the first song of their film ‘Party Dananali ….‘ composed by Shreyas Angane and crooned by Nagesh Morvekar (Gavthi fame). The song features popular child actors including Pushkar Lonarkar, Vinayak Potdar, Shubham More​, Prajakta Jagtap, Devaki Bhondave​ and ​Actor ​Gaurav More​.​ This film is Directed by Kailash Pawar and produced by Dasharath Rajendra Yadav, Rekha Surendra Jagtap, Sampatrao Patil and Shantaram Bhondave under the banner Prajakta Enterprises.

‘Salman Society‘ runs with the tagline ‘Padhega India To Badhega India‘ and focuses on the issue of child education. The makers have planned an extensive shoot schedule of ‘Salman Society‘ in Mumbai. The film which is currently on floors, will be releasing all over Maharashtra sometime in December this year.

Many child artistes have played very important role in the success of some of the Marathi films. Popular child artistes comprising of Pushkar Lonarkar, Gaurav More, Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar will be seen in Kaliash Pawar’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Salman Society’. Produced by Chandrakant Pawar and Rekha Surendra Jagtap under the banner, Prajakta Enterprises, ‘Salman Society’ carries the timely tagline ‘Padhega India to Badhega India’ and focuses on the most important issue of child education.

While Pushkar has been featured in prominent Marathi films including ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’, ​‘Baaji’, ‘Firkee’ and ‘Chi Va Chi Sau Ka’ , Gaurav has some popular Marathi shows and commercials to his credit. Shubham has made his presence felt as an actor not just in Marathi cinema but also Bollywood in films including the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees‘. Similarly, Vinayak has been part of films including ‘Tajmahal’, and ‘Yere Yere Paisa’.

The makers of this film have planned an extensive shooting schedule in Mumbai. The will be released in December this year.

On the concluding day of the 57^th Zlin International film festival, one of the largest children’s film festivals worldwide, it was announced today that Indian filmmaker Samit Kakkad’s ‘Half Ticket‘ has won the much-coveted ‘Ecumenical Jury Award‘.

‘Half Ticket‘ produced by Video Palace and starring Priyanka Bose (Lion) and Bhalchandra Kadam (Sangto Aika, Timepass) in addition to the two lead young actors (Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar) was part of the official selection at this prestigious film festival held in Czech Republic.

Speaking about winning this prestigious award for his film an overjoyed Kakkad said, “I am elated to have heard this news of having won such a big award. This means the world to me and only bolsters my confidence that good Indian cinema is being appreciated. To even imagine that this is an award people I look up to have received, races my heart. I can only and wish that this paves the way for more Indian films internationally and hope that larger audiences are able to enjoy not just mine, but my contemporaries films as well.”

The coveted Ecumenical jury award is given at leading film festivals globally since 1973 with the aim of “honoring the works of artistic quality which witnesses to the power of film to reveal the mysterious depths of human beings through what concerns them, their hurts and failings as well as their hopes.” And has been bestowed on international filmmakers such as Andrei Tarkovsky, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Samira Makhmalbaf, Asghar Farhadi, Fatih Akin and Pedro Almodovar among others.

‘Half Ticket‘ is directed by Samit Kakkad and has been produced by Video Palace and is being represented by Basil Content Media at film festivals. The film has also been selected at various other international film festivals all over the world.
