Young Marathi actor Yuugg, has turned director with the forthcoming Marathi film ‘I am not Slumdog I am Indian‘ .Yuugg has not only directed this film, but has also written the story of this film, besides engaging popular singer Javed Ali to sing a song in this film, which has been dedicated to the city of Mumbai. Recently, this song was recorded at Yashraj Studios.The song has been penned by Yuugg himself. Music has been composed by Team Faith Five.

Javed Ali himself has been very much impressed by this song. Speaking about this song after recording, he said, “I am glad that I had an opportunity to sing such a wonderful song with meaningful lyrics. Mumbai is my ‘Karmabhoomi’ and hence I liked the message of keeping Mumbai clean, through this song.”

Rajan Dogra, who is the producer said that he always wanted to experiment new things through his film. Director Yuugg feels that foreigners coming to India only notice poverty in this country. Through ‘I am not Slumdog I am Indian‘ film, we have tried to show the positive side of our country. Yuugg also plays the lead role in this film, in the company of other artistes like Usha Nadkarni, Uday Sabnis, Rajan Rane, Sheetal Kulkarni and others. Sudesh Devan is the cinematographer of this film.
