‘Swarajya’ offers new angry young man to Marathi Cinema

The burning issues of Marathi Manoos have been exploited by two rival political parties in Maharastra. But, the Marathi films also have been doing their bit to raise these issues through better scripts. In the recent past, we saw ‘Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy’ followed by ‘Arjun’ encouraging the Marathi Manoos in Maharashtra to rise against injustice.

Now, director duo Vishal- Vihar have carried forward this success formula through their suitably titled film ‘Swarajya’ with a tagline… ‘Marathi Paul Padate Pudhe’. Though the theme of the film is the same as previous two films, ‘Swarajya’ goes further to encourage the educated youth to move with Unity as strength. The film does have a melodrama to expose SRA related manipulations, corruption by political leaders through hard hitting dialogues which is USP of this film.

All this was possible only because of a good star cast led by the angry young man Rajesh Shrungarpure, who with his graceful personality and rich voice, almost rocks in this film. Supported by well presented screenplay, the film is sure to inspire otherwise tolerant people from Maharashtra.
