Teaser of ‘Afratafri’ raises lot of curiosity
Teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Afratafri’ has raised a lot of curiosity among the viewers on social media. The film gives a glimpse of what a person can do for money. The story of this film revolves around three brothers played by Shashank Shende, Sanjay Narvekar and Omkar Bhojane and their 1 Crore policy taken by their father.
This film directed by Milind Zumber Kavade is presented by A Skyline Cinematic and Yen Movie studios with the support of Out of the Box Films. Along with the three actors Shashank, Sanjay and Omkar this film also stars Mohan Agashe, Neha Khan, Prajakta Hanaghar, Asavari Joshi, Hemant Patil, Kiran Mane and Kunal Meshram in lead roles.
According to director Milind Kavade, this film presents a terrific chemistry among Shashank, Sanjay and Omkar, who play three brothers. The film will be ready for release on 9th October 2026.
Hruta & Sarang film ‘Aali Mothi Shahani’ to release on 2nd Oct
Hruta Durgule and Sarang Sathe starrer Marathi film ‘Aali Mothi Shahani’ will be released in theatres on 2nd October 2026, as per the latest announced made by the makers, during the teaser release of their film recently. The film’s story is based on the wish of a small girl, who expresses her wish before Lord Ganesha that she wants to grow bigger, so that she can do anything she desires.
With ‘Aali Mothi Shahani’, writer-director Anand Dilip Gokhale returns with a story that once again finds an unusual idea hidden inside an everyday emotion. If his previous film ‘Hashtag Tadev Lagnam’ explored the complications, expectations and possibilities surrounding marriage, his new film takes a much more innocent starting point—a child’s simple wish to grow up.
Now, it remains to be seen whether her wish is fulfilled in the film? But, one thing clearly indicates through its teaser that this film with Hruta and Sarang in the lead will offer humor with light entertainment. Produced by Isha Muthe and Shruti Sathe and written- directed by Anand Dilip Gokhale this film has certainly created a lot of curiosity among film lovers.

Sachin Pilgaonkar & Madhurani Gokhale starrer ‘Kapuskonda’ first look released
The first look of Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Kapuskonda’ was released on social media recently, with the announcement of film’s release on 23rd October 2026. Produced by Jaswand Entertainments Pvt.Ltd and written and directed by Sachin Mohite with screenplay and dialogues by Sachin Mohite, Ganesh Pandit, & Hrishikesh Turai.
A.V.Prafulchandra has composed the music of this film with playback singing by reputed singers like Avadhoot Gupte, Padmanabh Gaikwad. Sound technique is by Suhas Rane. Along with Sachin Pilgaonkar and Madhurani Gokhale, the film also stars Akshata Padgaonkar, Janhavi Tambat and Uttam Patil in lead roles. Most part of the film’s shooting was held in Andhori village in Latur district.
It may be recalled that Madhurani was seen along with Sachin Pilgaonkar in his past film ‘Navara Majha Navsacha’ through a humour filled character of Candy. Now, both of them will be seen in lead roles in this new film ‘Kapuskonda’ .
‘Gondhal’ receives overwhelming response for Special show
The Special screening of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Gondhal’ received an overwhelming response in Pune. The show was organized by The International Federation of Film Critics at a theatre which had capacity of only 300. It was on first come first served basis. But, about 650 people had gathered and most of them were disappointed for not getting entry for the show.
In spite of facing this problem, the show took place in a successful manner. Actor Jitendra Joshi along with his other costars in the film was personally present during this show. Besides Marathi, this film will also be released in other Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannad, Malayalam, Hindi and English. And, therefore this film is expected to receive a lot of popularity.
‘Maitreyaa’ slated for release on 23rd Oct.
After making her first film ‘Kaakan’ writer- director Kranti Redkar Wankhede is returning after ten years, with her new Marathi film ‘Maitreyaa’, which is slated for release in theatres on 23rd October 2026. Recently, the new poster of this film was released with the photos of four lead artistes in romantic mood.
This film is about friendship of these four youngsters and according to the makers, will talk about something beyond friendship. The four artistes seen on the poster are Aamar, Ayushi, Sky and Ruchi. Writer-directorKranti Redkar Wakhdehe is all praise for these artistes and has said that with this friendship she has tried to present a different journey in front of the audience.
Producer Manoj Khalatkar says, this is not just a film keeping in mind the young generation; but an entertaining film for the entire family.

Renowned film director Mahesh Manjrekar’s much awaited latest Marathi film ‘Bandkhor’ is all set for release on 22nd September 2026. Recently, teaser of this film, which was released on social media has also raised the expectations from this film, which revolves around six women protagonists who come together to fight injustice.
The six lead characters of this film are played by Chhaya Kadam, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Mrunal Kulkarni, Pooja Katurde, Titiksha Tawde and Nityashree Mahalaxmi. It is not very clear from the teaser, as to what which particular cause they are all fighting for, but, according to director Mahesh Manjrekar, these six characters played by the artistes are reflection of women in this society.

‘Manjar’ stars Siddharth Menon, Omkar Bhojane, Tejas Raut and Bhagyashree Limaye in lead roles. Smita Tambe to play Central character in ‘Dhadpad’
Renowned Marathi actress Smita Tamble, who has given memorable performances in the past, through various award winning films, will now be playing a central character in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dhadpad’. This film revolves around the struggle of a woman, to give stability to her family, by shouldering responsibilities, as her husband’s bad deeds bring poverty.
The shooting of this film is going on at a suitable location ideal for film’s script. in Gomewadi in Atpadi Taluka. Produced by Bodhi Cinema and Ashwini Samadhan Aivale the script of this film is based on the story of Balaji Waghmode. World Premiere of Marathi Film ‘Undocumented.pdf’ at NAFA Film Festival 2026
Against the backdrop of ongoing national debate surrounding recent actions by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), NAFA Films is set to premiere its latest short film, Undocumented.PDF, at the NAFA Film Festival 2026. Produced in Marathi with English subtitles, the film will have its World Premiere on August 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM in San Jose, California.
Written by California-based author Amruta Hardikar and directed by Houston-based filmmaker Harsh Mahadeshwar, ‘Undocumented.PDF’ presents a compelling and deeply human narrative inspired by the realities of immigration. The film is produced by U.S. Congressman Shri Thanedar and Abhijit (Abhi) Gholap, Founder and President of the North American Film Association (NAFA).
The project was coordinated and executed on behalf of NAFA by Executive Committee Member Bhalchandra Kulkarni, while Amol Thite and Govind Unkalkar, both based in California, serve as co-producers.
