In the recent past, Marathi films have made tremendous progress, with realistic subjects. This has encouraged many Bollywood personalities and Politicians to make special appearance in Marathi films. Ramdas Athavale and Swabhiman Shetkari Sanghatna founder Raju Shetty will also be seen forthcoming Marathi film ‘Rashtra‘, shooting of which was held recently, at Raigad fort.

Both the politicians will be playing their real life characters in ‘Rashtra‘ film, which is being directed by Inderpal Singh, who has also written the script of this film. The director has earlier directed some Punjabi films. The film’s story is about the fight against caste politics and injustice on common man.
