‘Sangeet Sanshaykallol’ to be revived with a new look

Sangeet Sanshaykallol‘, a Marathi drama written by Govind Ballal has a history of over 100 years, since it was written and staged by the playwright. Over the years, this Marathi drama has been a favorite of Many Marathi theatre and classical music lovers. It has been staged by various groups.

Now, Prashant Damle Foundation have decided to revive ‘Sangeet Sanshaykallol‘ play, with a new look.The muhurat of this revived play was held at the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in presence of his wife Amruta Fadnavis, well known artiste Prashant Damle, singer Rahul Deshpande, singers Ramdas Kamat & Gauri Damle and other artistes of this drama.

This revived drama is to be directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari and stars Prashant Damle in the role of Falgunrao. The characters of Ashwin Sheth, Revati & Krutika will be played by Rahul Deshpande, Uma Palsule Desai & Deepti Mate respectively. The other lead artistes of this drama are, Chinmay Pataskar, Nachiket Jog & Neeta Pendse. The first show of this revived play will be held on 15th April 2016. Out of the 30 songs from the original play, only 18 songs will be presented through this revived version.
