The last film of legendary actor Vikram Gokhale, titled ‘Bewaras’, will soon be released for audiences. The film’s poster was officially launched on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa. Produced by Harini Productions and presented by Shiv Aryan Films, the movie is directed by Vijay Rane. The story is emotional and touching. Along with Vikram Gokhale, the film features actors like Tejaswini Pandit, Rohini Hattangadi, and Usha Naik in important roles.

In the film, Vikram Gokhale plays Abaji, a principled man who runs an orphanage. The story follows a young boy who takes his own parents to court to fight for his rights, highlighting emotional and social issues.

The poster shows a heartfelt moment of Vikram Gokhale hugging a child, giving a glimpse of the film’s emotional depth. As this is his final film, there is strong curiosity among fans.

Teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Asha’ was released recently, which  clearly indicated that it will present a women oriented subject about the struggle of women in today’s society, while serving for a cause like ‘caregiving’ .  With the tagline ‘Bai Adliye…mhanunach tee nadliye’, this film will be released on 19^th December 2025.

This film has already made its presence felt, after bagging four awards at the Maharashtra State Marathi films awards this year. The central role of Asha caregiver in this film is portrayed by Rinku Rajgurualong with other renowned artistes like Sayankit Kamat, Usha Naik, Shubhangi Bhujbal, Suhas Shirsat, Disha Danade, Dilip Ghare and Harsha Gupte. Directed by Deepak Patil, this film produced by Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Nilesh Kunwar, Daivata Patil and Deepak Patil and will be released by Panorama Studios.

Baalbhaarti Movie Trailer launched by education minister Deepak Kesarkar, Siddharth Jadhav

Trailer of much-awaited Marathi film ‘Baalbhaarti’ was launched on the occasion of Children’s day today.  Maharashtra’s School Education and Marathi Language Minister Deepak Kesarkar graced the occasion and launched the trailer along with 10 school children. Director Nitin Nandan, Producers Comall and Sunjoy Waddhwa of Sphereorigins , lead artistes of the film Siddharth Jadhav, Nandita Patkar, Aaryan Menghji, Ravindra Mankani, Usha Naik, Sanjay Mone , Abhijit Khandkekar and crew members were present at this event held at Famous Studio in Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Deepak Kesarkar said that even if you need to know English, English is not everything. “Children should be educated in the language they like. Countries that are technologically advanced today are seen to be educated in their mother tongue. When I was in Paris, no one answered me in English on the street. Maybe they know English but want to insist on their own language. We must know English, but English is not everything,” said Shri. Kesarkar .

He further added, “India was several steps ahead in terms of education. When the first school started in England in the 18th century, we had Gurukul. The British abolished this system to rule us. We should provide the best technology to children in our schools. Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and computer science is the future. We are committed to providing the best technology to our children”

Few days ago poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bhirkit (भिरकीट)’ had raised a lot of curiosity among the film lovers. Presented by Classic Enterprises and produced by Suresh Jamatlal Oswal and Bhagyavanti Suresh Oswal and directed by Anup Jagdale, now the teaser of this film has been released.

This so called comedy film stars versatile artistes like Girish Kulkarni, Hrishikesh Joshi, Monalisa Bagal, Kushal Badrike, Sagar Karande, Tanaji Galgunde, Kailas Waghmare, Usha Naik and Yakub Sayed.

Screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Pratap Gangavane and music is composed by Shail and Pritesh. According to the director Anup Jagdale, “This film presents the story about all of us. How much of humanity is left in human beings today in this materialistic world and how much we have changed today, is what the film’s story is all about. This is a multi starrer film and therefore all the versatile artistes have been selected for their respective roles. National award winning actor Girish Kulkarni plays the lead role of ‘Tatya’ in this film.” This film will be released all over Maharashtra on 17^th June 2022.

Inspired by Foreign and Bollywood films, many Marathi film makers have attempted horror filled films in the past. During the past few years there were horror based Marathi films like ‘Aik‘, ‘Yeda‘, ‘702 Dixits‘, ‘Dhyanimani‘ & ‘Kanika‘ to name a few. But, none of them received the desired response from the audience. However, writer director Vishal Furia thought it the other way. Through his latest released debut Marathi film as a director, he has presented one such relevant social subject, set on the backdrop of horror taking place at a deserted place in a village.

So, from the very beginning of the film, the audience is hammered with the horror filled happenings, giving a clear indication to them, about what will be the next surprise . But, the bold and beautiful Neha( Pooja Sawant) who is 8 months pregnant, arrives in this village along with her insolvent husband( Vikram Gaikwad) to take shelter in the old house vacated by a older couple Bhaurao( Anil Gavas) and Tulsabai( Usha Naik) known to her husband.

Pooja experiences strange happenings in the so called haunted house located within the wide spread sugarcane fields. But, being a bold woman, she takes up the challenge and turns a protagonist, to understand the real reasons behind all such happenings. She not only fights injustice on women but also the blind faith practiced by the old couple. Her illusions show her the way, which helps her to uncover the mystery. Certain scenes in this film are beyond convincing and have no logical thinking, but the presentation part of the film is good, to keep the audience guessing till the horror filled climax.

Writer director Vishal Furia, himself being a VFX expert, could plan the sequences very well, so as to create the desired horror impact cleverly, on many occasions. The selection of artistes for the five important characters and few others has been perfect. Pooja Sawant gets an opportunity to display her real acting talent and she has performed very well. This performance will surely find her better offers from other Marathi film makers. Another female artist Usha Naik is highly impressive through her superb performance. Excellent support comes from Vikram Gaikwad and Anil Gavas, though they don’t have much to offer.

Wonderful sound design, background music, besides splendid cinematography Chandan Kowli and superb art direction Satish Bidkar are the other plus points of ‘Lapachhapi‘ film. Technically, it is a well made film and will surely impress horror film lovers. In short, it is a horror filled film with the game of illusions. However, pregnant women and people with weak heart should stay away from this film, as there are few violence filled scenes, besides some terrifying shots with creepy music.

Horror based films have always created a buzz prior to their release, be it in Hollywood or Bollywood. In Marathi , there were few horror films, but the makers of these films, failed to promote their films, to generate the desired impact on their prospective audience. However, makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Lapachhapi‘ have certainly generated some interest among Marathi film lovers, assuring them horror filled entertainment by attempting something different, through their film’s promotion. The film has already been screened at international film festival.

Recently, trailer of  ‘Lapachhapi‘  film was launched in famous studios Mumbai, in a unique way, by creating a terrifying atmosphere with darkness and suitable light effects on a specially designed village set. This gave a hint to the media persons to understand the horror theme of this film. In this trailer, Pooja Sawant was seen in a different role of a central character, playing 8 month pregnant mother, struggling to save and protect her child before delivery. The makers of this film had also used special sound effects to present this trailer more effectively.
