Will Vaibhav and Prarthana create their Coffee magic once again ?
Two years ago, we witnessed a fine chemistry between youngsters Vaibhav Tatwawdi and Prarthana Behere in the film ‘Coffee Aani Barach Kahi‘ and the film received good appreciation from all age groups. Now, they are returning together through forthcoming Marathi film ‘What’s Up Lagna‘. But, their fans will have to wait till February next year, as the film’s release date has been announced as 9th February 2017.
Besides presenting a love story the makers of this film are confident about the music of this film. The musical songs in this film have been composed by Nilesh Moharir on the lyrics of Ashwini Shende. No wonder they thought of releasing the song ‘Tu Jarashi Ye Urashi…‘ three months in advance. Presented by Jai Joshi and Nanu Jaisinghani, this film is directed by Vishwas Joshi, who had co produced super hit Marathi film ‘Natasamrat‘. So, obviously, there are big expectations from this film.
Saurabh Gokhale to appear as Sant Dnyaneshwar in ‘Tu Majha Sangati’
Having performed as Sant Dnyaneshwar in few episodes of past TV serial ‘Aawaz‘ which presented stories of popular saints from Maharashtra, popular stage, TV and film actor Saurabh Gokhale has got an opportunity to portray the same character once again through forthcoming episodes of ongoing TV serial ‘Tu Majha Sangati‘.
Speaking about this role, Saurabh said,”When I got an opportunity to play Sant Dnyaneshwar in the serial ‘Aawaz –Itihasatlya Soneri Panancha‘, it was the biggest challenge. But, I could perform this difficult task, only due to efforts taken by director Virendra Pradhan. And, the audience appreciated my performance. Now, to play the same character once again, is another big challenge for me.”
In ‘Tu Majha Sangati‘ the makers would like to present the situation, when Dnyaneshwar along with Nivrutti, Sopan & Muktabai visit Sant Gora Kumbhar, when he showed the way to Sant Namdev and his pride. This story can be heard from Sant Tukaram in the coming week from Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm.
First look of ‘Ghat’ unveiled
Alandi is popular place of pilgrimage for being the resting place of the 13th century Marathi Saint, Sant Dnyaneshwar Located at located on the holy banks of the Indrayani River, this place has special significance for those who come here to find peace of mind. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ghat’ is set on the backdrop of the banks of this holy place and presents the story of two friends and their struggle in life. Produced by sachin jare and directed by Raj Gorde, this film is now set to release on 15th December 2017.
According to the director of this film, he has presented an emotion filled story of two friends Manya and Papya, who belong to this place. He has also included a song in praise of Dnyaneshwar Mauli, as per requirement of the script. Music of this film is composed by Rohit Nagbhide, while sound designing is by national award winner Mahavir Sabbanwar . the star cast of the film comprise of Child artistes Yash Kulkarni & Dattatray Dharme along with Mitali Jagtap, Umesh Jagtap & Riya Gawli.
Sonali Kulkarni goes down memory lane at IFFI Goa
Versatile Actress Sonali Kulkarni was recently in Goa to become part of International Film festival of India( IFFI). In this festival, she was called at the Bioscope Village section, when Sonali Kulkarni recalled her memories in Goa. Sonali’s Bollywood film ‘Dil Chahta Hai‘ was shot in Goa in 2001 . Incidentally, Sonali’s film ‘Kaccha Limbu‘ was screened at this festival.
Speaking on this occasion, Sonali Kulkarni said that she always loved to to come to Goa. Speaking about her experience while working with people like Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar, she said that all three of them were very professional and systematic . “Every moment with them was a memorable experience with lots of fun shared with the. At that time, even my birthday was celebrated by them in a big way. Whenever I come to Goa, I recall all those past memories ,” says Sonali.
‘Dhingana’ promises musical entertainment in the company of Marathi & Hindi stars
Combining our Marathi stars with Hindi film stars is not new to Marathi cinema. But, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Dhingana‘ produced by Samir Sadanand Patil and directed by Chandrakant Dudhgaonkar promises a musical entertainer. This has been suggested during the music and trailer launch of this film recently in Mumbai. There is variety in the songs and one of the songs is in three languages, Marathi, Hindi and English. Above all, popular singers like Anand Shinde, Adarsh Shinde along with debutant Radni Tyagraj. Music of this film is composed by Amitraj & Shashank Powar.
‘Dhingana‘ presents the theme of a chit fund scam and has Priyadarshan Jadhav, Prajakta Hanamghar, Anshuman Vichare, Swapnil Rajshekhar, Prakash Dhotre along with Hindi film artistes Raza Murad, Shahbaz Khan, Avtar Gill and Kunika in lead roles. Written by Hemant Edlabadkar, the cinematography of this film is done by I.Giridharan. Art by Sandeep Inamke & editing by Faisal Mahadik are other credits. The film is all set to release on 8th December 2017.
Another Mega historical play ‘Ajinkya Yodhha’ to be staged soon
We had seen in the past Marathi play ‘Janata Raja’ based on Shivaji Maharaj staged in a big way. Now, Punjab talkies will present a grand story of Shrimant Peshwe Bajirao Ballal in an equally magnificent way through their historical play ‘Ajinkya Yodhha’. Based on the creative idea of Sanjay H Pande and directed by Varuna Madanlal Rana , the shows of this Mega historical play will be staged in a big way soon. Abhay Sodye will be the executive producer and assistant director of this mega play.
Popular Marathi singers Adarsh Shinde, Nandesh Umap and Vaishali Made have rendered their voices for the songs in this play, with the title song rendered by Adarsh Shinde. Music is composed by Aadi Ramachandra and Vineet Deshpande, while the most important costumes are designed by Poornima Oak. We are all aware of the history of Bajirao Peshwa and his heroic deeds and therefore it will be big treat to watch the live performances of artistes on stage. At the same time, it will be a big challenge before the makers to present this play.
‘Shubham Karoti Kalyanam’ will offer a fresh face to Marathi Cinema
Last year, we saw a surprise in the form of Rinku Rajguru through the film ‘Sairat‘ and she won the hearts of millions of film viewers. Now, one more fresh face will be introduced through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Shubham Karoti Kalyanam‘, produced by Deepa Bhalerao under the banner of Vishwakarma Chitra and directed by Shailendra Singh Rajput. She is Tejal Bhalerao.
Tejal Bhalerao is making her acting debut through this film, but according to the makers of this film, she accepted the challenge of performing with other experienced artistes like Ashwini Ekbote, Siya Patil, & Naresh Bidkar. And hence there are big expectations from this new face. The film ‘Shubham Karoti Kalyanam‘ presents the journey of a girl, who struggles to acquire education .The story of ‘Shubham Karoti Kalyanam‘ film also revolves around an important social issue of child labour and hence offers a strong message. The film is now all set to release on 8th December 2017.

‘Dashakriya’ receiving response from American Radio channel
Marathi film ‘Dashakriya‘ which won 3 national and 11 State awards was released last Friday. But, the film received opposition from section of society, which felt offended with some scenes in the film. At some places in Maharashtra, despite police protection, some shows of this film could not be held due to protests . The worst affected place was Jalgaon, where shows of this film had to be cancelled.
However, according to the producers of ‘Dashakriya‘ film, at other places, the film received very good response, with audience coming in support of this film. The film has also received positive response from an American radio channel radiochai.com. On 20th and 21st November as per Indian time, between 9.30 pm to 1.30 am a detailed programme on this film was broadcast on this channel giving all the information about this film’s story to Americans and NRI’s. And this has boosted the morale of the producers and director of this film.
