Since this is my debut film as a director, I have ensured that the best technical team is available, without any compromises, on the production front. The top 4 pillars are handled by some of the best professionals in the film industry. Art direction is by Kshamata. We are using Auro 3D sound 11.1 (normally its 5.1). Yash Raj film’s editor is handling editing. And not to forget legendary Binod Pradhan, an ace cinematographer, who has impeccably captured the beauty of Mauritius (where major part of the film is shot) like no one else. Technically, my film is the best Marathi film done so far.”
MMW asked, whether there were too many love stories doing rounds in the recent times, Renu said, “Ishq wala Love was to be released in July this year, but got delayed due to technical reasons. And I think it’s just coincidence that all these films are coming around the same time.’ This movie has a twin brother as it is being dubbed in Telugu.” Since lots of Telugu fans and well wishers wanted to watch movie directed by her, decision of dubbing in Telugu was taken at the last minute. Incidentally, her 10 year old son too is making his film debut through this movie, with an important, though small, role.
Artists of this movie, Aadinath Kothare, Sulagna Panigrahi, Bhargavi Chirmule were also interacting with media in a jovial manner. Aadinath said that he looks fabulous in this movie, only because of the cinematographer Binod Pradan’s magical camera work. But they have been very supportive.” Bhargavi confessed that, she to be filmed by Binod Pradhan enticed her to do Sulgna’s sister’s role.
Renu Desai has 3 films lined up, 1 Marathi to be directed by her,1hindi to be produced and directed, and 1 Telugu to be produced by her. But, let us first wait for the release of ‘Ishq wala Love‘.
