Sanajy Jadhav’s next ‘Duniyadari’ launched
Known for his action packed films like ‘Checkmate’, ‘Ringa Ringa’ and ‘Fakta ladh Mhana’ Cinematographer- director Sanjay Jadhav has launched his new Marathi film ‘Duniyadari’ with a Muhurat performed recently. The ceremony took place with a song recording of singers Adarsh Shinde and Kirti Killedar in presence of artistes and technical team of the film.
The film is produced by Sanjay Jadhav and is based on the best selling novel of Suhas Shirvalkar with the same name. The big team of artistes comprise of Ankush Choudhary, Swapnil Joshi, Jitendra Joshi, Sandeep Kulkarni, Uday Tikekar, Uday Sabnis, Sushant ShelarSushant Shelar, Sai TamhankarSai Tamhankar, Urmila Kanitkar and Varsha Usgaonkar. The film will have three music directors including Amitraj and Pankaj. Scrennplay- dialogues by Chinmay Mandlekar, Cinematography by Prasad Bhende and choreography by Umesh jadhav are other credits.
‘Radha Hee Bawaree’ on Zee Marathi from 24th Dec
‘Radha Hi Bawaree’, which claims to be a fresh love story with a progressive theme will begin from 24th Dec’12 at 7:30 PM.on Zee Marathi channel. This serial explores the emotions that a woman undergoes when she experiences love in its most purest and sincere form.
The plot of this serial revolves around a progressive setting involving an independent, self reliant woman who is taken by surprise when love happens to her in the most unexpected and passionate form. That’s when Radha will realize that her life is now complete with love. The story revolves around Radha who is a successful is self made gynaecologist, who and has a fledging career. She is a very responsible, highly committed individual who is looked upon by her friends, colleagues and patients.
Owing to her professional commitment and her very guarded personal life she has never opened to the prospect of love and a relationship fructifying into marriage. The story will be around her discovery of love and its dimensions. Shruti Marathe plays the title role of Radha in this serial. The other artistes are Saurabh Gokhale, Amol Bavdekar, Neha Pendse, Sharad Ponkshe, Ashwini Ekbote, Ashit Ambekar, Bal karve, Kavita Medhekar and Ila Bhate. and. ‘Radha Hee Bawaree’ will be telecast on Zee Marathi from Monday to Saturday @ 7:30 PM from 24th Dec’12 .
Tejaswini Pandit weds Bhushan Bopche
Popular Marathi Film, TV and stage actress Tejaswini Pandit tied her nuptial knot with Bhushan Bopche from Gondia. Bhushan is the son of industrialist Rameshwar Roopchand Bopche. The marriage ceremony took place in Gondia on Sunday 16th December 2012, as per reliable sources.
Tejaswini is the daughter of Jyoti Chandekar Pandit who is also well known marathi actress. She has recently won many awards for her performance s in films like ‘Vavtal’ and ‘Mee Sindhutai Sakpal’, She has also performed in films like Gaiir, Ranbhool, Target, Bluffmaster. She is also part of ongoing serial like ‘Kalaaay Tasmay Namah!’ and was also part of serials like ‘Lajja’ and ‘Tujha Ni Majha Ghar Shrimantacha’. At present she is performing in marathi play ‘Vaishali Cottage’. The marriage reception will take place in Pune on 23rd December 2012, in presence of close relatives and friends. .
Grand Release of Music and first look of Vijay Aso! Marathi Movie
Arth Motion Pictures, who produced a sensible film ‘Manya- the Wondrer Boy’in 2011are now back with their 2nd production in association with Nirmit Nirmiti Films, under the direction of Cinematographer turned director Rahul Jadhav, who also makes his debut in direction through this film. Script written by popular actor Chinmay Mandlekar, assisted by Vivek Gore in the screenplay, the film presents Chinmay Mandlekar in the lead, opposite Namrata Gaikwad.
On Friday night, the first look and music CD of this film, was released in presence of artistes, technical team, media persons and invitees. Sachin Pilgaonkar, the chief guest on the occasion, while presiding over the function, said that he had seen the film and liked it. “I appeal to all my friends and well wishers through this speech to please watch Marathi films in theatresMarathi films in theatres. There are good, quality entertainment films made by new producers and the audience should boost their morale with their physical presence in the theatres.”
Sachin was all praise for Cinematographer turned Director Rahul Jadhav , who had worked with him in his past projects and was confident about the film’s success. Clippings of three songs from this film were also shown to the invitees besides the promo. The film’s music is by debutant Amitraj, who was praised by the director of this film, on this occasion. Chinmay Mandlekar, who is playing the lead role in this film, expressed satisfaction over the treatment he received from the director for his story. Namrata Gaikwad thanked Chinmay for providing a better scope for her, in this film.
Another attraction of this film is Bollywood actor Murali Sharma, who plays a prominent negative character of a Politician. Murali, who was present on the occasion, said, “The story is the hero and dialogues are super hero of this film.” He thanked the makers for finding this suitable role for him. Ganesh Yadav, who plays an important role of a Journalist in this film, was not present. Also present on the occasion were all the three producers- Chandresh Bhanushali, Shashikant Kotian, Ketan Shishodia and associate Producer Gurunath Mithbaonkar. Singer Vaishali Samant and lyricist Sachin Darekar, Rupesh, Ashish were also present besides other special invitees like MLA Raja Mirani and singer Kirti. Smita Gavanklar played the anchor of this function.
The film is due for release on 28th December 2012 and stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Namrata Gaikwad, Murali Sharma, Ganesh Yadav, Kedar Shinde, Amita Khopkar, veteran actor Janardan Parab, Pratibha Jadhav, Rohan, Mangesh, Priyadarshan, Vishnu, Ajit, Vipul, Devendra Bhagat, Samruddhi Jadhav, and Avinash Thakur.
Mahesh Manjrekar and Avadhoot Gupte to direct Raees Lashkaria’s next two films
Raees Lashkaria, well known builder, promoter of Sports, social worker connected with healthcare and education from Mumbai; entered Marathi film industry as a producer through his debut film ‘ Swarajya -Marathi Paul Padate Pudhe’ with its launch on 10.10.10 and release on 11.11.11, seems to be believing in numerology a lot. ‘Swarajya ’ was a hit film with tall and handsome Rajesh Shrigarpure playing the angry young man, who later grabbed the role in a Hollywood film ‘Seal team Six.
Now on the 12.12.12 evening, he made official announcement of his next two films at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, Mumbai in presence of media persons and special invitees.
After anchor of this function Samira Gujar invited him to the dais, she introduced him as a strong supporter of Mr. Raj Thackeray. Incidentally, Sharmila Thackeray, who was supposed to come for the function, was not present during the announcement ceremony.
However, Mr. Suresh Wadkar, who played the role of chief guest, wished Mr. Raees Lashkraia a grand success, for taking keen interest in the production of quality Marathi films. After the producer invited Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar , Mr. Avadhoot Gupte and his elder brother Aslam Lashkaria on the dais; he made two official announcements. The first was about Mahesh Manjrekar directing his next film ‘Samrajya’ based on political theme and the second was about Avadhoot Gupte directing another film ‘Short Cut’.
Both the directors signed for these films, appreciated the keen interest taken by Mr. Raees Laskaria in production of quality Marathi films. Both of them appreciated his debut film as a producer ‘Swarajya- Marathi Paul Padate Pudhe’. Now, all eyes on the selection of artistes for these two films. But, those spotted on the occasion were few popular Marathi artistes like Rajesh Shringarpure, Santosh Juvekar, Nirmiti Sawant, Hemangi kavi Dhumal, Swapnil Bandodkar and Sanjay Khapre. The director duo of Raees Lashkaria’s first film ‘Swarajya’-Vishal Ghag was busy making all arrangements for successful conduct of the function.
‘Dharmantar’ a new film based on Politics launched
Known for his hit Political thriller in Marathi during 90s; film maker Ujwal Thengadi has now launched his new Political film ‘Dharmantar’ recently. Produced under his own banner ‘Om films’, ‘Dharmantar’ will begin its shooting shortly. In this film, Mr. Ujwal will be taking care of 14 different sections, including Story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics and music.
The film’s star cast comprises of Dr. Vilas Ujavane, Sharad Ponkshe, Smita Tambe, Ashwini Ekbote, ranjit Jog, Vikas Patil, Hemangi Kavi, Fayyaz, Parag Ajgaonkar, Ujwal Thengadi and Sulochana Didi. Editing by Dilip Kotalgi and cinematography by Ajay Arya are other credits.
Ketaki bags title role in ‘Taani’
After impressing with her peformances in films like ‘Shala’ and ‘ kaksparsha’, collegian ketaki Mategaonkar has now bagged a title role in a forthcomg Marathi film ‘Taani’. This is a story of a struggle faced by father and daughter in their life. Made under the banner of V.Patke Films, ‘Taani’ is produced by Ajay Thakur and Vandana Patke Thakur and directed by Sanjeev Kolte. Shooting of this film begins from 1st week of january 2013.
Third Eye Asian festival begins
The eleventh edition of Third eye Film festival began at P.L. Deshpande Mini Theatre yesterday. Present on the occasion were President of the Organising committee Mr. Kiran Shantaram, Mr. Laxmikant Deshmukh, Mr. Sudhir Nandgaonkar and other dignitaries from film world.
This year there will be 38 films in the feature film section and 27 in short film section. In Marathi section, there are films like ‘Sanjparawa’, ‘Ajinkya’, ‘Chimanipakhare’and ‘Anumati’. This year’s festival will be a tribute to late Smita Patil, whose film ‘Bhumika’ directed by Shyam benegal, will be shown during the festival.
Shooting of ‘Maat’ begins with Eesha- Sameer
After signing Eesha koppikar for her debut Marathi film ‘Maat’, producer Manali Sawant and director Manohar Sarwankar have begun the shooting of their film ‘Maat’ at Film City. On Friday afternoon, director Manohar Sarwankar and Cinematographer Nirmal Jani picturised few important scenes of this film, on a specially decorated huge set. This well decorated set gave clear indication that the producer had not compromised on expenses required for the purpose. The participants also comprised of elite crowd forming part of the audience for a ‘Beauty Contest’ scene. Even the judges engaged for the show looked natural; one of them almost resembling former Police Commissioner of Mumbai.
With his long experience in Bollywood, cinematographer Nirmal Jani used his Camera skills to quickly finish some of the scenes with other participants, before the arrival of Eesha koppikar and Sameer Dharmadhikari. When both of them arrived, they looked a perfect couple suited to the film’s script, clearly indicated with their costumes.In this film, Eesha Koppikar is playing a beauty queen, who wins this contest and introduces her husband( played by Sameer Dharmadhikari) , who is also present during the contest. Sameer plays a Chief Engineer in this film, who handles big national and international projects.
The other artistes of this film comprise of Suhas Palshikar, Manjusha Godse, Meghana Vaidya, Suruchi Adkar & others. Based on the story of Tejaswini Pandit the screenplay and dialogues of this film are written by Sambhaji Sawant. Lyrics by sandeep Khare, music by Salil Kuklkarni are the other credits. ‘Maat’ is being made under the banner of Sailee Dream Ventures.
‘Ambat Goad’ begins on Star Pravah
