Melodious songs for a Mystery thriller ‘Anawat’
Marathi audience will get a treat of listening to two melodious songs composed earlier by Pt. Hrudaynath Mangeshkar viz. ‘Tarun Aahe Ratra Ajuni’ and ‘Ye Re Ghana, Yere Ghana’ ;through the eagerly awaited mystery thriller film ‘Anawat’ produced by P.S.J. Entertainment. The youthful producer of this film, Puja Shekhar Jyoti, resolved to present both these incomparably evergreen songs in a new form of cinematic representation again, before the audience and succeeded in fulfilling this desire. Thanks to the competent direction of renowned director Gajendra Ahire.
Having acquired a higher education of management from the Xavier’s School of Management at Jamshedpur, one of the best in India, Puja also underwent a rigorous formal education of film-making at the renowned ‘Whistling Woods Academy’ founded by distinguished Bollywood director Subhash Ghai and went about becoming the youngest producer of a Marathi feature film. Puja, who is a management graduate completed her film making education at the Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods Academy and has now turned a producer of this Marathi film, under her own banner ‘P.S.J. Entertainment’.
Relentless efforts have been made by her to purchase the legal rights of reproducing these two songs from H.M.V. Saregama and recomposed them in a fresh new form of music, considering the tastes of the new generation, besides retaining their old charm. After being blessed by the pious approval of Pt. Hrudaynath Mangeshkar, the original music director of these songs; Shankar Mahadevan, an able virtuoso of Pt. Hrudaynath Mangeshkar too, committed himself with boundless efforts and unmatched practice while delivering the compositions .The songs will be released soon.
Endowed with the skilful direction of the national award winning director Gajendra Ahire, this Marathi feature film ‘Anawat’, is based on the background of the then prevailing times of year 1975 in the regions of Konkan, Goa and Hyderabad. A truly ‘Period Cinema’, it is being presented by retaining the cinematic fabric of the then prevailing times in 1975.
The popular pair of Adinath Kothare and Urmila Kanetkar, has been cast in the lead roles of this film along with Makrand Anaspure, Kishor Kadam, Bhargavi Chirmule and Vibhavari Deshpande playing other important roles in the film. ‘Anawat’ is scheduled to be released in the month of November for the audience in Maharashtra to experience thrills and terrifying mystery.
