Popular artistes Prasad Oak and Amruta Khanvilkar have been conferred with Fakt Marathi Cine sanman recently by the Fakta Marathi Entertainment Channel. Both these artistes were nominated along with other versatile artistes in the Best actor and Best actress category, but both of them have emerged winners, when their names were announced at a Special ceremony held at The Club, Andheri. Prasad received the honours for his performance in the film ‘Dharmaveer’, while Amruta received the same for her performance in the film ‘Chandramukhi’.

Film ‘Dharmaveer’ also won two more awards for Best film and best direction ( Praveen Tarde). Renowned Make Up man Vidyadhar Bhatte was felicitated on this occasion for his contribution in this field. Music director duo Ajay Atul, Veteran Actor Ashok Saraf was conferred with Special award and popular actress Sonalee Kulkarni was presented with Vicco Popular Face of the Year award. This being the first year of Fakta Sanmaan, there were entertaining presentations, including dance performances by Sonalee Kulkarni, Kishori Shahane and Varsha Usgaonkar. The telecast of this programme will take place on Fakta Marathi channel soon.

Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi (चंद्रमुखी)’ which is all set for release on 29th April is the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers, as the promotion of this film has already impressed them. Now, the fresh talk is about the Lavani in this film, which is pictured on Amruta Khanvilkar and Prajakta Mali, who have come face to face for this musical jugalbandi.

This Lavani has lyrics by Guru Thakur with music composed by Ajay Atul. Singers like Madhura Datar, Priyanka Barve and Vishwajeet Borwankar have rendered their voices for this Lavani with choreography by Deepali Vichare. Speaking about the different forms of Lavanis in this film, director Prasad Oak says, “ We have tried to offer this traditional form of dance in different ways through this film.”

Ever since the teaser of the film ‘Chandramukhi’ has been released, there has been curiosity to know who was playing the character of Daulat in this film, as the photo did not reveal the face clearly. Now, that curtain has been raised and the name of the actor has been announced as Adinath Kothare. ‘Chandramukhi’ is based on Vishwas Patil’s novel with the same name.

The film presents this strong character of Daulat Deshmane who as a leader was always there to help the people in need of justice. Produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi, Golden Resho Films and presented by Creative Vibes productions, this film is directed by Prasad Oak with Screenplay and dialogues by Chinmay Mandlekar. Actor turned director Prasad Oak who offered quality films like ‘Kachha Limbu’ and ‘Hirakani’ is now arriving with his next big project ‘Chandramukhi’ on 29th April 2022. Teaser of this film was released recently, which indicated that it was a love story happening between An experienced politician and a glamorous Tamasha dancer. Surprisingly, the star cast of this film has been kept in abeyance till now.

IAS Officer and historian Vishwas Patil has written many novels . Some of his novels have even received prestigious awards. We have seen a sensible Marathi film like ‘Pangira’ which was based on his novel with the same name. Now, another Marathi film ‘Chandramukhi’ based on his novel with the same name will go on the floors soon. Akshay Bardapurkar along with Piyush Singh will produce this film and have made all the arrangements to begin the shoot of this film in November , taking all the necessary precautions, keeping in mind the ongoing lockdown restrictions.

Prasad Oak who will be directing this film said, “Though I am excited to begin my work after a long gap, there is a lot of responsibility on my shoulders, to ensure safety during the shooting. I am aware that after watching the poster of my film ‘Chandramukhi’, you are keen to know who is playing the title role and other important roles. Even I am eager to disclose this as early as possible; but till then I need all your good wishes for this project.”

Now with this success, Planet Marathi is  going to produce six new films & Web series projects. Producer Akshay  Bardapurkar announced this recently. Two of the important films that would be arriving under the banner are ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ Directed by Shantanu Rode and ‘Chandramukhi’ Directed by Prasad Oak.

The Producers have said that they would make available many
opportunities during future projects for Planet Talent artists as well
as fresh talents for encouraging them. Above projects will have both a  genuine variety as well as roles played by top actors from Bollywood. However, the information about the cast as well as directors and the  faces from Bollywood appearing in these films has been a secret for now.  The decision is going to be most important from the angle of maintaining  stability for many economic arithmetic issues.

However, it is not known as to who will play the title role in this film, which is based on the subject of politics and its link with Tamasha. And the beautiful Chandramukhi the central character obviously has prominent part in this film being an excellent dancer .
