Resourceful Marathi actor Vijay Chavan is still active with films
For the past 32 years he has been active with Marathi films. But, Vijay Chavan as an actor shot into fame with his popular hit Marathi play ‘Moruchi Mavshi’, which has presented more than 3000 shows. In this play Mr. Chavan had to present himself in the role of a female which was very much appreciated by the drama lovers. Prior to that he had made his debut on stage through the play ‘Tur Tur’. From ‘Tur Tur’ to ‘Shrimant Damodarpant‘ he portrayed variety of roles .
When Vijay Chavan entered Marathi films, there were already two best comedians Ashok Saraf and Laxmikant Berde, who were top priority of film makers for their comedy films. But, Vijay Chavan also invited the attention of film lovers through various character roles he found to his share. Besides big screen, he also found good roles on small screen. No wonder, he still has a great fan following.
Besides performing comedy, he also had an opportunity to play serious type of roles in films like ‘Gol Gol Dabyatla‘, ‘One Room Kitchen‘ & recently released film ‘Halaal‘ . It is indeed admirable that he is still performing in films with the same enthusiasm , which he possessed 30 years ago. And, the best example is his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Hutansh’ , in which he plays a very different kind of comedy, which according to him is something special for him. Mr. Vijay Chavan is all praise for the producer s Aparna Pramod & Achchut Navlekar and young director Ankush Thakur. This film is all set to release on 10th November 2017 all over Maharashtra.
