Marathi ‘Bigg Boss’ to appear on Colors from 15th April
‘Bigg Boss‘ reality show in Hindi, which became popular all over India through different chapters during the past few years , will now be presented in Marathi. There was a lot of curiosity during the past few days, as to who will be the anchor of this Marathi version. But now, the curtain has been raised and the name of Mahesh Manjrekar has been announced. The actor turned film maker has also appeared in the promo of this show, which has been released few days ago.
As we all know this anchor will be the most important person in this reality show, he will however be appearing only to communicate important instructions to the participants, who will be in the big house designed to accommodate them. The show will go on air from 15th April 2018 , but there is still curiosity about the participants in this show, whose names have not been disclosed by the organizers yet. ‘Bigg Boss‘ show will however coincide with the IPL T-20 Cricket, the live telecast of which will be going on during this period. So, let us wait and see whether this Marathi Big Boss scores over the Big bosses in cricket.

In our day to day life we come across some people, who are not satisfied with their lives and they envy those, who possess money and power. Latest released Marathi film ‘Thank U Vitthala‘ presents one such character Haribhau Waghmare( Makarand Anaspure ) , who works as a Tiffin Carrier in the city of Mumbai . While delivering the Tiffins, Haribhau comes across many such people and feels that he should live like them. With the blessings of Lord Vithhala ( Mahesh Manjrekar) he gets three chances to experience the lives of three different characters. Not happy with any of them, finally he realises his mistake and decides to live as Haribhau . So, it’s all about self realisation.
This simple story of Haribhau is well presented by writer – director Devendra Jadhav with the help of M.Salim’s humour filled screenplay. There are many scenes which make audience think seriously about the happenings in our society, besides generating humour. At some places, the makers of this film have used the typical masala required for entertainment of masses, like the two item numbers inserted into the screenplay, which were not required for such type of theme in the film. But then, we have borrowed this style from Bollywood films. Few scenes in the film have been extended more than required communication between Haribhau and Vitthal. However, the overall film offers light entertainment with a timely message of ‘self realisation’.
Both Makarand Anaspure and Mahesh Manjrekar are the best choice for their respective roles in ‘Thank U Vitthala‘ film. Makarand in particular has excelled , while portraying variety of characters. Good support also comes from Mausami Tondwalkar, Abhijit Desai, Smita Shewale, Kamlesh Sawant, Purvi Bhave and many others. Music by Rohan Rohan is just fine. The film does offer light entertainment. In short, the theme of this film is good for a change.

After a long time Mahesh Manjrekar and Makarand Anaspure are performing together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Thank U Vitthala‘, which is all set to release on 3rd November 2017. Recently, music of this film was released at the hands of Mahesh Manjrekar, in presence of other dignitaries from Marathi film industry. Speaking on this occasion, the actor turned film maker said, “This film is very important for me, as after a long time myself and Makarand Anaspure have worked together. We really enjoyed working together and I am sure, the audience would also enjoy this film.”
‘Thank U Vitthala‘ presents the story of one such person who is fed up of his life. But, during his life journey, he finds the company of Vitthala, which changes his life. According to the producers of this film Govardhan Kale, Gaurav Kale and Anjali Singh, the film has been presented with a timely message, through entertaining sequences. It seems that the name of Lord Vitthala has inspired Marathi film makers. In the past we have seen a film ‘Hari Om Vitthala’ and very recently, there was a film with the title ‘Vitthala Shappath’. Now, it will be ‘Thank You Vitthala’ the new title of a forthcoming Marathi film. Produced by Govardhan Kale, Gaurav kal , Anjali Singh and written-directed by Devendra Jadhav , recently the poster of this film was launched with the blessings of Gajanan Maharaj.
This film presents the journey of one such person, who is unhappy in life. But, soon his life is changed in the company of Vitthala. The film has a big team of artistes comprising of Mahesh Manjrekar, Makarand Anaspure, Deepak Shirke, Kamlesh Sawant, Smita Shwale, Sunil Godbole, Pradeep patwardhan, Kishore Chougule, Jaywant wadkar, Yogesh Shirsat, Abhijit Chavan, Maudumi Tondwalkar, Purvee Bhave, Teja Devkar, Yakub Sayyad, Arun Ghadigaonkar, Arun takle, Santosh Kevde, Malind Safai, , child artiste Varad and others. ‘F.U.- Friendship Unlimited’ Teaser Launched
Sometimes, before the release of a film, a lot of buzz is created through the clever strategy adopted by the makers of that film. This is happening in the case of forthcoming Marathi film ‘F.U.- Friendship Unlimited‘. Is this because of the unique title of the film or due to presence of ‘Sairat‘ fame hero Aakash Thosar. The exact reason will be known only after the release of this film. But, the launch of teaser of this film has surely created a new record, with more than 10 lakh viewership of this teaser on social networking sites in just one night.
Actually, the live launch of the teaser was held in Mumbai previous evening, in presence of artistes and other unit members of ‘F.U.- Friendship Unlimited’ film. The film is produced by Mahesh Manjrekar along with others and is directed by him and therefore it has special significance. ‘Sairat’ fame Aakash Thosar gets ready with his second film
Aakash Thosar, who attained popularity after release of his debut film ‘Sairat‘ is now getting ready with his second Marathi film ‘F.U.‘ s release on 2nd June 2017. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the film’s teaser poster was released recently by Bollywood star Salman Khan. The poster of the film clearly indicates that it is a style film of the popular hero for the youth.
According to the makers of ‘F.U.’ film, the next poster of the film will be released on social networking sites on 14th April 2017 at 11.35 am. Now, it remains to be seen, whether Aakash Thosar will be seen in his new look on this poster. Even otherwise, this film has raised high expectations from the Marathi film lovers. By the way, there are other artistes in the film, but the focus is only on Aakash Thosar.
