Sometimes, before the release of a film, a lot of buzz is created through the clever strategy adopted by the makers of that film. This is happening in the case of forthcoming Marathi film ‘F.U.- Friendship Unlimited‘. Is this because of the unique title of the film or due to presence of ‘Sairat‘ fame hero Aakash Thosar. The exact reason will be known only after the release of this film. But, the launch of teaser of this film has surely created a new record, with more than 10 lakh viewership of this teaser on social networking sites in just one night.
Actually, the live launch of the teaser was held in Mumbai previous evening, in presence of artistes and other unit members of ‘F.U.- Friendship Unlimited’ film. The film is produced by Mahesh Manjrekar along with others and is directed by him and therefore it has special significance. Apart from Aakash Thosar, the film stars a big team of young artistes comprising of Satya Manjrekar, Mayuresh Pem, Shubham Kirodian, Madhav Devchakke, Pawandeep, Vaidehi Parshurami, Sanskruti Balgude, Swamini Wadkar, Riya Burman, Radha Sagar, Madhura Deshpande & Swarda Thigale. The team of senior artistes comprises of Sachin Khedekar, Medha Manjrekar, Sharad Ponkshe, Bharati Achrekar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Late Ashwini Ekbote along with Bollywood artistes Boman Irani and Isha Koppikar .
Six years ago, as a teenager, she made her debut opposite Adinath Kothare, in the film ‘Ved Lavi Jeeva‘. But, the film wasn’t distributed properly. Then, three years ago, she played a role in Mahesh Manjrekar’s film ‘Kokanastha‘. But, even this film didn’t do well. But, now Vaidehi Parshurami is well prepared to make her presence felt, through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Vrundavan‘ in the lead role, opposite Raqesh Bapat. The film also stars Pooja Sawant in a parallel role.
On Friday evening, the makers of ‘Vrundavan‘ had arranged a media meet, to introduce the stars of the film, as well as the music team, comprising of music director Amitraj, singer Avadhoot Gupte and others. Trailer of the film, along with two songs from the film, which have already become hits, on Marathi music channels. And, all these scenes, the actress who invited all the attention, was Vaidehi Parshurami.
Specially dressed for the occasion, with her designer outfit, she looked gorgeous, sporting constant smile on her face. She was accompanied by her mother. It may be recalled that Vaidehi has done her post graduation with kathak and is at presently studying her law. Her film ‘Vrundavan‘ is all set to release on 8th April 2016. And, this time, she is all prepared to display her talent.
Now days, film makers are just waiting for some occasions to promote their film. And, there was no better occasion than Women’s day celebrations. Even otherwise, Maharashtrian women are very fond of Marathi films and their artistes. Thane being the biggest hub of Maharashtrian culture, the makers of ‘Vrundavan‘ selected an ideal occasion to celebrate Women’s day. So, they finalized on the famous Vrundavan Society in Thane, where they saw a big crowd of Marathi women, joining the artistes and the producers, to play various fun games and even performed dances with the lead artistes comprising of Rakesh Bapat, Vaidehi Parshurami & Pooja Sawant.
So, all of them had a great time together to celebrate the Women’s day, in advance. Also, it was a good promotion of the film. Even otherwise, the team of ‘Vrundavan‘ is touring many parts of the state, to promote their film, very much in advance, as the film is all set to release on Gudhi Padwa day, i.e 8th April 2016. Last week, the team was in Pune and received a good response from Pune students.
