“‘Love Sonia’ has changed my outlook towards life”- Sai Tamhankar
Ever since she has performed that character of Anjali a woman into prostitution business, Sai Tamhankar is a totally changed person now. With this international exposure through this international production, Sai experienced so many things which has changed her outlook towards life. “A person like me who has seen a good life in a middle class family, was really moved when I first stepped into the locality of prostitutes. It was shocking to see five of them sharing n the same room of 10×10 ft. Which is used for their business. After witnessing this I am sure, you all will forget your own worries,” says Sai.
She further adds, “Those missing children are kept in a cage in this area and they are forced to do labour work and begging. Later, they are forced into flesh trade. Can’t imagine how they must be going through this stage? Many such experiences I had while doing this film. Now, whenever my car stops at a signal point and I come across such children, I do inquire about them, asking them whether they had their food and whether they attend school.”
” Indeed, ‘Love Sonia’ has shown me this way,” she concludes.
