Marathi-Bengali talent Working together for Marathi film ‘Awanchit’
Through many Bollywood films of the past we have seen stories of Bengali writers and have also seen the Bengali culture. Also, many Bengalee artistes have been part of Bollywood in the past. But now, our Marathi film lovers will get to see the Bengali culture through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Awanchit’, for which Bengalee and Marathi talent are working together for the first time.
Produced by Pritam Choudhary, co produced by Vicky Sharma and directed by Shobho Basu Nag this film is presented by Fatfish Entertainment. The shooting of this film is going on at present in old and new Kolkatta city. The film presents the story of father and son with their widening relationship due to death of mother. Though the artistes of this film are Marathi, those behind the screen are Bangalee artistes. While producer Pritam has produced number of Bengalee films for the past 22 years, director Shubho Basu who is experienced in editing work for past two decades, will be making her debut as director in Marathi films.
‘Ganvesh’ fame producer-director Atul Jagadale is the cinematographer and creative producer of this film , who will play a proper connect between the Bengalee and Marathi artistes. Highlight of this film is that Poet turned actor Kishore Kadam will be seen in a different role. The film stars young pair of Abhay Mahajan and Mrunmayee Godbole along with Marathi artistes Dr. Mohan Agashe, Mrunal Kulkarni, Suhas Joshi, Yogesh Soman and Bengali actor Barun Chanda in lead role.
The film’s story is based on original story of director Shubho Basu while the screenplay and dialogues are penned by Yogesh Joshi. Lyrics by Omkar Kulkarni and music by bengali music director Anupam Roy are other credits.
