Well Known Still Photographer of Hindi and Marathi films Sudhakar Mungekar is no more. He passed away due to heart failure yesterday (8 May). He was 73. Mungekar was living all alone and was a bachelor. He began his photography as a still photographer in 1966 at the young age of 18 with Kamat Photo Flash and was dedicated to his profession till the end of his life.

 He had done still photography for about 150 Hindi films besides Marathi films of reputed film makers like Damu Kenkre, Shrikant Thackeray, Subhash Phadke and others. In Hindi film industry, he had worked for R.K Film banner for their films ‘Mera Naam Joker’,’ ‘Bobby’,’ Satyam Shivam Sundaram’,’Prem Rog’,’Dharam Karam’, ‘Heena’,  Rajashri Productions films and other films. He had also worked with well Known film personalities like N.Chandra ( Narsimha’) Sai Paranjape, Dev Anand, Actress Nargis and Bhagwan dada. He was expert in Continuity photography.  With his sad demise, Hindi and Marathi film industry has lost a dedicated photographer.
