“I have explored the disable world through ‘Satya'” – Pushkar Jog
‘Satya – More than Human’, a movie on the future of mentally retarded children and the social stigma attached to them concluded its shooting at Kamyani, Pune, an institute for the retarded recently. Actor, script writer and director of the movie, Pushkar Jog said, “I am connected to the institute since I the time of Sindhutai Joshi. I share a special of relationship with the children here. These children are not responsible for their physical and mental disability but still they are disowned by the society. In-spite of this the children are kind and loving. I have explored their world through this movie. It is a tribute to Sindhutai.”
The movie is about 22-year boy Siddhant whose life changes after a minor accident. From struggling to keep away from the virtual sympathies from people in the normal world, he finds love in the world of the retarded and makes his own small world.
There will be a friendly cricket match between Satya’s team and Kamyani’s team on November 28. All the stars of the movie will participate in the match. The movie will be screened special show on December 5 at Cinemax, Andheri. Many Bollywood celebrities will make an appearance. On December 5, a rally will be held in Pune to promote the film and spread awareness about abnormality and the movie will be premiered at City Pride, Kothrud at 6pm.
The movie stars Ravindra Mankani, Mohan Joshi, Resham Tipnis, Smita Gondkar, Shrikant Moghe.
