Astrologer Sundeep Kochar debut in India’s First Astrological Thriller Marathi film
The Internationally renowned celebrity Astrologer Dr. Sundeep Kochar, the only astrologer registered in the ‘Limca Book of Records‘ for hosting the longest running astrology show ever on national television channels, is now all set to make his debut in films.
Sundeep Kochar will be seen as an actor in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Bhavishyachi Aishi Taishi – The Prediction’ produced by Ramesh Talware and directed by Surendra Verma. Incidentally, this is India’s first astrological thriller film in Marathi is all set to release on 6th October 2017. In this film Sundeep Kochar is playing himself, i.e. an Astrologer Dr. Karmarkar . The entire story of the film revolves around his character and three female actresses played by Ruchita Jadhav, Manasi Naik and Harshali Jeni.
Speaking about his new role, the world famous astrologer says, “This is India’s first astrological thriller film in Marathi. The whole story is about the astrological predictions and its influence. It has been shown in a contemporary way and does not promote blind faith. Astrology does not change the fortune of a person but the effects will be reduced. Astrology is just a guiding light and its scriptures are more than 5,000 years old. If you have the exact date, time and place of birth, then his future can be accurately predicted.”

Yogita Dandekar’s film ‘Nirbhaya’ to release on 6th October
After performing in films like ‘Durga Mhantyat Mala’, ‘Rada Rox‘,’Sukhant‘( Marathi) and ‘Jara Sambhalke‘, ‘Traffic Signal‘, glamorous and dashing Marathi actress Yogita Dandekar is now returning with the most challenging role in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Nirbhaya‘, which is set for release on 6th October 2017. Made under the banner of Swanandi Productions this film is produced by Amol Ahirrao and directed by Anand Bachhao ( Sai Anand) .
As suggested by the title, Yogita plays the protagonist. Speaking about her role, she says, “The film is based on real happenings in the lives of helpless girls and women, who face sexual harassment. The film presents incidences showing the journey of a woman recovering after going through humiliation. For me, this is the most challenging role and I have tried my best. Surely, the audience will appreciate this performance.”
Story of ‘Nirbhaya‘ is written by Santosh Hudlikar , while screenplay and dialogues are by Dr. Murlidhar Bhavsar. Editing by Vinod Chaurasiya, cinematography by Manish Patel and music by Dev Ashish are the other credits.
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Biscuit’ is based on Research expedition by a little boy
Known for their new subjects, Marathi films have always invited the attention of not only our Indian audience but also international film lovers. Now, Xpansion Films Pvt Ltd. will also be offering a new subject, which is based on research expedition of a little boy. Recently, teaser poster of ‘Biscuit‘ film was launched on social media . Produced by Padmashree Shewale , the film is directed by Ravindra Shevale, who is making his debut in direction, through this film.
So, it remains to be seen how this new biscuit will taste? But, for that we will have to wait till November 2017, when the film ‘Biscuit‘ becomes due for release. Child artiste Divesh Nedge is playing the lead role in this film, in the company of other versatile artistes like Shashank Shende, Puja Nayak, Jayant Savarkar & Ashok Samarth. The film’s story is written by Pasmashree Shewale, with screenplay by Sachin Darekar and dialogues by Namdev Murkute. Cinematography by Kishore Raut and music by Chaitanya Adarkar are the other credits.
‘Zindagi Virat’ to release on 29th September
We have heard the stories of father’s sacrifice for his son and also heard about a son working hard to fulfil the wish of his father . Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Zindagi Virat’ is based on the story of one such son who puts in a great effort to fulfill the last wish of his father. But, besides this, the film also throws light on human understanding about life and death. This is the debut film of writer director Sumeet Sanghamitra, who has also performed in this film.
Produced by Anjaneya Sathe Entertainment the highlight of this film are the three Marathi songs rendered by Popular Bollywood singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali & Vishal Dadlani on the music of Suraj- Dheeraj. Besides Sumeet Sanghamitra, the film also stars tow more young actors Om Butkar & Ninad Gore, along with versatile actors like Kishore Kadam, Atul Parchure, Bhau kadam & Usha Naik. The film will be released on 29th September in Maharashtra.
‘Tujha Majha Break Up’ to be telecast from 18th Sept on Zee Marathi
Subjects of today’s TV Modern day serials are generally connected with the present lifestyle of Maharashtrian people. And, the title of forthcoming Marathi serial ‘Tujha Majha Break Up‘ clearly hints at the rising number of break ups, either before or after marriage among youngsters. Especially, among the young married adults , it leads to divorce. ‘Tujha Majha Break Up‘ actually presents the story of youngsters Sameer and Meera who fall in love with each other from their college days and their friendship turns into love marriage.
While Sameer is a happy go lucky boy from a well to do family, Meera belongs to a typical middle class family. Initially, their love blossoms understanding each other; but after marriage, both try to find faults in each other over petty issues, which results in break up. However, after separation for a year, both start liking each other and there is scope of their reunion. Based on the story of Shekhar Dhavklikar , the screenplay is written by Chinmay Mandlekar, while dialogues are penned by Mugdha Godbole. The lead pair is played by Sayankit Kamat and Ketaki Chitale in the company of versatile artistes like Rohini Hattangadi, Uday Tikekar, Vijay Nikam, Radhika Harshe, Sanyogita Bhave, Reshma Ramchandra, Umesh Jagtap & Madhugandha Kulkarni.
Directed by Hemant Deodhar, this serial will be telecast on Zee Marathi from September 18th between Monday to Saturday at 8.30 pm.

Has Mrunal Dusanis said good bye to acting ?
Replacement of characters in the TV serials is very common these days. But, when the main character is replaced, it certainly creates confusion among the regular TV viewers. Last month we saw disappearance of Mrunal Dusanis from the ongoing popular TV serial ‘Assa Sasar Surekh Bai‘ on Colors channel. Her character of Jui is now played by Sayali Patil, but her regular admirers are finding it difficult to watch this serial without Mrunal.
We find hundreds of messages pouring in from her fans on her social networking page. They have all expressed that they are missing her the most. Undoubtedly, Mrunal Dusanis has been the most popular television actress and besides her performance in ongoing TV serial ‘Assa Sasar Surekh Bai’ , she had won the hearts of millions of home viewers, with her past performances in serials like ‘Majhiya Priyala Preet Kalena ‘ and ‘Tu Tithe Mee‘.
Mrunal herself has not replied to their comments. Instead, she has been displaying her photos with her husband, who lives in USA and also sharing some videos of ‘Chala hava Yeu Dya‘ comedy show, which seems to be her favourite programme.
It may be recalled that after her marriage, there were already talks going on that Mrunal would soon join her husband; but, everyone felt that she would do so after the end of this serial. However, there seems to be no possibility of this serial coming to an end so soon. Finally, we saw Mrunal herself saying ‘Good Bye’ to this serial. Music of award winning film ‘Halal’ launched in Mumbai
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Halal‘ produced by Laxman Kagne & Amol Kagne and directed by National award winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil has already created a buzz before its official release, having won various awards. Recently, the music of this film was launched in Mumbai in presence of artistes and technical team of the film. The film’s story is based on Rajan Khan’s story ‘Halaala’ and highlights the social problems of Muslim women in today’s changing world. The film is due for release on 6th October 2017.
Speaking on the occasion director Shivaji Lotan Patil said that he was fortunate to get an opportunity to handle such an important social issue through ‘Halal‘ film. It may be recalled that Mr.Patil had made his debut as director through the film ‘Dhag‘ which won him national award. The film has two meaningful songs penned by Subodh Pawar and Sayyed Akhtar , with music provided by Vijay Gatlewar. The film stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Pritam Kagne, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Vijay Chavan, Chhaya Kadam, Sanjay Sugaonkar, Amol Kagne & Vimal Mhatre. Cinematography by Ramani Ranjandas and editing by Nilesh Gawand are other credits.
‘Baapjanma’ Trailer unveiled in presence of artistes
A very committed Marathi stage artiste from Pune, Nipun Dharmadhikari began his acting career in 2003, when he was in college. Later , he set up his own ‘Natak Company‘ with self funding and produced stage plays, without the intention of making profits. After writing screenplay for the Bollywood film ‘Nautanki Saala‘ in 2003 , he is now making his debut as a director through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baapjanma‘. Trailer of this film was unveiled in Mumbai recently, in the presence of Actors Sachin Khedekar, Sharvari Lohokare, Satyajeet Patvardhan, & Director Nipun Dharmadhikari. ‘Baapjanma‘, which is presented by Everest Entertainment and produced by Sumatilal Shah and Sixteen by Sixty Four Productions, is set for release all over Maharashtra on 29th September 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, lead actor of this film Sachin Khedekar said “Baapjanma, a term often used by Marathi folks, has already aroused curiosity, thanks to Nipun’s debut role as a Director of this film. The best part of the film’s script is its sensitivity.” Nipun Dharmadhikari, who has written the Story, Script and Screenplay of this film, said “For me it has been a privilege and a honor to work with a towering personality like Sachin Khedekar and his sheer presence on the sets has been an encouraging factor for our team.”
