‘Baapjanma’ teaser and song released
The song and teaser of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baapjanma’ were released recently in Mumbai, in presence of two important artistes of the film Sachin khedekar, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and director Nipun Dharmadhikari. Produced by Sumtilal Shah & Sixteen By Sixty Four Productions and presented by Sanjay Chhabriya’s Everest Productions, this film is all set for release on 29th September 2017.
‘Baapjanma’ is the debut film for Nipun Dharmadhikari as a director, who had earlier performed on stage. According to producers of this film, Nipun is today’s generation writer- director, who knew his job very well, while presenting this subject on father and son in a different way. Nipun however considers himself fortunate, to get a chance to direct renowned actor like Sachin Khedekar in his very first film as a director. Besides Sachin and Pushkaraj, the film also stars Sharvari Lohokare, Satyajit Patwardhan and Aakash Khurana in lead roles.
Now, wax statues of Ankush Chaudhari and Amruta Khanvilkar
We have heard about the famous Wax museum Madame Tussauds in London for its wax statues of some renowned personalities, including Bollywood artistes. This Museum has many branches all over the world and recently they opened their new branch in Delhi, India. Now, Sunil Kandaloor a well-known wax sculpture artist in India is the first one to have a Wax museum in Lonavala and Kochi. Born and brought up in Kerala, Sunil recently opened his third branch in Devgad, Ratnagiri with the help of MLA Mr. Nitish Rane.
Actually, this Ganesh Utsav Nitish Rane decided to give a pleasant surprise to the natives of Kokan and he brought wax sculptures of the leading actors of Marathi industry Ankush Chaudhari and glamorous actress Amruta Khanvilkar, which has increased excitement among their fans. Both the actors Ankush Chaudhari and Amruta Khanvilkar have always been a style icon for the younger generation and have been favourites of the audience for their brilliant performances and acting skills. These wax statues were officially presented before the media persons and these two artistes , before they were taken to the museum.
Marathi films ‘Dabba Gull’ & ‘Swabhiman’ launched together
Now days, new producers are coming forward to offer Marathi films on different subjects. Some prefer to present social issues with a touch of humour, while others send a strong message through their sensational subjects. Apsara Media Entertainment Network recently launched their two films together at a grand ceremony in presence of chief guest Ramesh Deo , the grand old man of Marathi cinema. The names of these two films have been announced as ‘Dabba Gull‘ and ‘Swabhimaan’. Both these films will be directed by Rohit Arya.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ramesh Deo was all praise for Rohit and offered his best wishes to him. Both these films have different subjects and the shooting for both these films will begin from October 2017. There will be renowned artistes in these two films, but besides them the makers of these films will be on tour of Maharashtra to select some new faces also, to be part of this film. Rohit Arya has himself written the story, screenplay and dialogues of ‘Dabba Gull‘ and ‘Swabhimaan’ films, while the music will be by Sai-Piyush.

‘Var Khali Don Paay’ play premiered with inaugural show
Marathi experimental plays have always been stepping stone for many renowned artistes in Marathi film and television industry. The subjects handled by such plays have always been timely and sensational to invite the attention of audience towards a social issue. Now, new Marathi experimental play ‘Var Khali Don Paay’ written and directed by Hrishikesh Koli has a reference to yesteryear’s popular Marathi play ‘Purush’, while voicing against sexual abuse to women.
Recently, the premiere of this new play was held with a grand show at Rangsharada Auditorium, Bandra, in presence of many prominent celebrities from Bollywood and Marathi film industry like, Sunil Shetty, Shekhar Suman, KK Menon, Rakhee Sawant, Ramesh Deo, Seema Deo, Rohini Hattangadi, Nikhil Ratnaparakhi, Ashwini Bhave,Swanand Kirkire besides Nitin Sardesai. Mahesh Manjrekar to direct Marathi film ‘Shivaji Park Mumbai 28′
‘Shivaji Park Mumbai 28‘ is the biggest landmark of Mumbai, known for the world famous cricket ground which has nurtured World famous cricketers and also the most popular meeting place for politicians to hold their election rally. Many renowned personalities live in and around this landmark in Dadar, Mumbai. Marathi film on Dr. Tatya Lahane to release on 6th October
Known for his social service for the past 25 years, Dr.Tatya Lahane has done commendable work with his medical practice reaching to poorest of poor. Now, a biopic is being made on him in Marathi, suitably titled ‘Dr. Tatya Lahane..Angaar..Power is Within‘ , which will be released on 6th October 2017. Recently, Relay Singing was tried for a song in this film using 327 singers in the age group of 7 to 70 years. The song comprising of 108 words was rendered by these singers at the auditorium of CIDCO Exhibition Centre at Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
As this song was to create world record the representative of Guinness World Records Mr. Swapnil Dangrikar was also present. And, it was officially declared that this song had created a new World record. Also present on the occasion were Dr.Tatya Lahane, Maharashtra Minister Mr. Girish Mahajan, Navi Mumbai Mayor Sudhakar Sonavane, Actress Alka Kubal and others. Sunny Leone main attraction of ‘Boyz’
Bollywood actress Sunny Leone performing a Lavani wearing Nine Yard Maharashtrian Saree for a song ‘Kuthe Kuthe Jayche Honeymoon La‘ in the film ‘Boyz‘ has been the topic of discussion among Marathi film lovers. Now, ‘Boyz‘ film is all set for release on coming 8th September. Yesterday evening this song of the film was launched in a grand ceremony in Mumbai, in presence Sunny Leone. Chief guest Sachin Pilhaonkar and special guest of honour Suresh Wadkar then released the trailer and music of this film.
The film presents the story of three young students living in a hostel far away from their place. The songs of ‘Boyz‘ film have special flavor with the Lavani picturised on Sunny Leone having a special significance. Rendered by Sunidhi Chouhan this song is penned by presenter of this film Avadhoot Gupte himself, under his music direction. The film also stars Zakir Hussian, Shilpa Tulaskar, Sharvari Jemnis, Ritika Shrotri and Vaibhav Mangle.
