Dipti Mate makes a debut as a Singer
Renowned Hindustani Classical Vocalist late Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande‘s grandson Rahul Deshpande has already earned name and fame through his performance of on stage as well as in film. Now, his grand- daughter Dipti Mate ( sister of Rahul Deshpande ) is also making her debut as a play back singer through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baapjanma‘, which is now all set to release on 29th September 2017. Dipti has rendered a song ‘Mann Shevantiche Phul‘ in her voice for this film, which is penned by Kshitij Patwardhan on the music of Gandhar Sangoram. ‘Baapjanma‘ film directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari , stars Sachin Khedekar, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Sharvari Lohokare, Satyajeet Patvardhan & Akarsh Khurana in lead roles.
Incidentally, Dipti Mate has been singing for Marathi musical dramas and now has made her debut in ‘Baapjanma‘. Speaking about her debut, Dipti says that it was a real challenge for her, as the music composed for this song was based on 35 year old style that raised concern and also created fear in her heart. “I have sung many songs for Marathi dramas and has also sung Bhavgeets. My grandfather and my brother Rahul Deshpande have taken our family singing levels to such a great height that any mistake from my end would have damaged the prestige of our family. But music composer Gandhar Sangoram and my brother Rahul encouraged me for this song and I am really thankful to them for their support.”
