‘1234’ all set to release on this Friday

Now days, we find unique titles to Marathi films. ‘702 Dixits‘,’Bho Bho‘,’Half Ticket‘, ‘& Jara Hatke‘ are the recent examples. Now, Producers Kalpesh Patel, Shailesh Pawar and director Milind Kavde are all set to release their film with unique title ‘1234‘. And, the makers seem to be confident about the success of their film, which is all set to release on 5th August 2016.
Actually, the title of this film does not give any clue, what the film is going to offer. But, according to the director, the USP of ‘1234‘ film is that besides entertaining the audiences, the film also sets out to drive home a profound message. The director has also written the story and screenplay of this film and offers a big team of artistes comprising of Bhushan Pradhan, Priya Marathe, Sanjay Narvekar, Vijay Patkar, Vijay Kadam, Ganesh Yadav, Yatin Karyekar, Jaywant Wadkar, Pradeep Patwardhan, Teja Deokar, Arun Kadam, Mrinalini Jamble, Vishakha Subedhar, Aniket Kelkar, Anshuman Vichare, Jagannath Nivangune, Kamlesh Sawant, Guru Anand and Pranav Raorane in the key roles.
Choreography for the film has been done by Bhanu of South. Sentanio Terezio has cranked the camera, while Amitraj has composed the music of this film.
‘Amar Photo Studio’ will be Subak’s next presentation

Actor Sunil Barve, who turned a Drama producer 4 years ago, through his ‘Subak’ productions, presented many revived Marathi plays like ‘Suryachi Pilley’,’Lahanpan Dega Deva’, ‘Hamidabaichi Kothi’, ‘Aandhala Daltay’ and ‘Jhopi Gelela Jagaa Jhala’ under the project called ‘Herbarium’. Recently, he announced his next presentation ‘Amar Photo Studio’, which will be a fresh subject.
Highlight of this presentation is that, ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari’ fame artistes Amey Wagh, Sakhi Gokhale, Suvrat Joshi, Pooja Thombre along with Siddhesh Purkar will be the lead artistes of this play. Written by Manaswini Lata Ravindra, this play is directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari. Actually, Amey, Suvrat and Sakhi had approached Sunil Barve with the subject of this drama and Sunil could not say ‘No’ to their offer, as he was impressed by this new subject. The rehearsals of this play are presently in progress and the inaugural show will be announced soon.
‘Chaurya’ receives appreciation from Government prior to its release

Some films remain in news prior to their release, for offering something different to the audience. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will be released in ‘Accessibility Format’, which is happening for the first time in India. This format of film, also enables the Blind and deaf people to enjoy the film. The makers of this film have already received an appreciation letter from Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities ( DEPwD) , Government of India.
‘Chaurya‘ which will be released on 5th August 2016, is produced by Nilesh Navalakha, Vivek Kajaria & Aswini Patil, is directed by Sameer Patil, who has himself written the story of this film. Some of the main characters in the film have used the masks of some popular Bollywood artistes; but that was the need of the script, according to the makers of this film. They have also thanked Aashay Sahasrabuddhe , for his technical assistance, to present this film in accessibility format.

“Characters in ‘Lost and Found’ are part of our society” – Ruturaj Dhalgade

In our Marathi film industry more and more talented directors are coming forward to present their stories, which are inspired from real life happenings. Ruturaj Dhalgade is one of them. After ‘Slambook’, this time he will be offering his new subject on importance of communication in loneliness. We are all aware how loneliness has affected the lives of people from different age groups and majority of them are older people, who have lost their partners or youngsters who struggle to overcome their breakups with their partners.
Ruturak Dhalgade has taken up this subject, to encourage all those victims of loneliness, to do something for the others, going through the same phase. With his background in Engineering, Ruturaj entered this area of filmmaking, because of his passion for cinema. MarathiMovieWorld met him during the press show of this film, when he was standing in one corner quietly, watching the reaction of media persons, during the break. “I was inspired to write the story of this film, as I had myself seen many such characters living a lonely life and always wanted someone to come and talk to them. These characters are all part of our society. In fact, the character of Maruti played by Mangesh Desai in this film, was very close to me and I had seen his depressed state of mind, after he lost all his family members in a tragedy. Through this film, I have tried to focus on the emotional side of each and every character and all the artistes have done a wonderful job.” he said.
Sunil Barve to announce the name of his next revived play

Popular Marathi actor Sunil Barve, who had turned a Marathi Drama producer, through his own production group Subak, had offered the revival of five old hit Marathi plays during the past four years. And this scheme was named as herbarium.
Till now, he revived plays like ‘Suryachi Pille‘,’Lahanpan Dega Deva‘, ‘Hamidabaichi Kothi‘, ‘Andhala Daltay‘ & ‘Jhopi Gelela Jaga Jhala‘. All the shows of these plays held at different venues had received an overwhelming response.
Now, Sunil is all set to announce the name of his next revived play on 27th July 2016 in Mumbai. Can anyone guess, the name of this old hit play ?
Saurabh Gokhale returns to big screen with ‘Page 4′

Popular television actor Saurabh Gokhale has also proved his ability through Marathi films like ‘Yodha‘,’Shinma‘, ‘Partu‘ and ‘Bho Bho‘ in the recent past. Now, he is returning to big screen through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Page 4‘, which is produced and directed by Jaydeep Yeole. The tagline to this film’s title ‘The Quest for reality begins‘ has also generated more curiosity about this film.
Actually, ‘Page 4‘ is a multi starrer film with many talented artiste from Marathi TV and film industry. But, Saurabh is playing the lead role, along with Nikhil Raut, Omkar Govardhan & Girish Pardeshi. The story of this film revolves around four friends played by these artistes. The film has tried to show how the lives of these four friends get affected, due to the happenings around and people with negative attitude around.
Apart from the four artistes mentioned above, the other artistes of this film are, Vibhavari Deshpande, Gayatri Deshpande, Deepti Devi, Ketaki Narayan, Madhurani Prabhulkar, Bhargavi Chirmule, Seema Chandekar, Kiran Yadnyopavit, Madhav Abhyankar, Ashutosh Wadekar and others. It’s high time, Rajinikanth does a Marathi film, say Marathi film critics

South Superstar and former popular Bollywood film hero Rajinikanth has his fan following across the country and all over the world. According to our sources his latest film ‘Kabali’ has been released simultaneously in 30 nations in the world, which is the widest release of any Indian film so far.
Rajnikant also being popular in Mumbai and Maharashtra, with his original roots in Maharashtra, his film has received overwhelming response during the first three days, with housefull shows . Some of the film critics in Marathi have now expressed their wish that Rajinikanth should do a Marathi film. Rajnikant himself has already expressed his wish to do a Marathi film in near future. All that is required is a suitable script to suit his image. One senior Marathi critic on his social networking page has appealed to Rajnikant to do a Marathi film, which according to him will be equivalent to 100 Marathi films released during the year.
Now, the ball is in Rajnikant’s court, as people from Maharashtra have already made his film ‘Kabali‘ a super hit film in Maharashtra too.
Hansraj Jagtap & Mitali Mayekar return with ‘Yaari Dosti’

National award winning youngster Hansraj Jagtap, whom we had seen in films like ‘Dhag‘ and ‘Rakhandar‘ and ‘Urfi‘ fame Mitali Mayekar are working together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Yaari Dosti‘ directed by Shantanu Anant Tambe. Mitali is playing the role of a school girl, while three newcomers Ashish Gade, Sumit Bhokse & Shreyas Raje will be making their debut through this film. ‘Majhi Shala‘ fame Aaksh Waghmode is also part of this film.
Apart from these youngsters, the film also stars Sandeep Gaikwad, Nisha Parulekar, Ashok Pavde, Namrata Jadhav & Janardan Singh. The film ‘Yaari Dosti‘ has tried to show, what happens, when the young children from different background living in Mumbai city come together, in each other’s life . This film’s teaser has already been launched on social media and has been receiving good response from young generation. The film is due for release on 5th August 2016.
Biggest attraction of ‘Taleem’ will be the Lavani performance by Vaishali Dabhade

We are all aware that if a Marathi film based on Lavani, has a good story supported by apt lyrics and mesmerizing music, it achieves sure success. In the past, films like ‘Ek Gaon Bara Bhanagadi‘,’Pinjara‘ & ‘Natarang‘ have already proved, how this success formula works.
Now, Bollywood film’s editing expert Nitin Rokade using his expertise in films, is offering one such film ‘Taleem‘, which is all set to release on 5th August 2016 all over Maharashtra. Highlight of this film is a Lavani performance shot on actress Vaishali Dabhade. For this Lavani, a huge set was erected at Ghatghar in Junner district of Maharashtra, to give a realistic feel to this Lavani. Lyrics by Mandar Cholkar and music by Prafull Karlekar are other credits of this Lavani, which has been rendered in the voices of Ronkini Gupta & Swapnil Godbole.
In ‘Taleem‘ film, Vaishali Dabhade portrays the character of Laxmi Satarkar, for which she has worked very hard, according to the makers of this film. Besides Vaishali, the other important artistes of this film are Abhijit Shwetchandra, Prashant Mohite, Vishnu Joshilkar, Mitali Jagtap, Chhaya Kadam,Yashpal Sarnath & Arjun.
‘YZ’ trailer launched in absence of lead actor

Many a times, we find the lead character of the film missing during the music or trailer launch of Marathi films. This was observed during the trailer launch of forthcoming Marathi film ‘YZ‘. In absence of Akshay Tanksale, one of the lead actors, his cut out was displayed at the venue, to indicate his presence during the group photographs with other lead artistes. By the way, Akshay was shooting in London for another film and hence could not make it for this function.
But, during this trailer launch all others connected with ‘YZ‘ film , right from producers Sanjay Chhabriya, Anish Jog, writer Kshitij Patwardhan & director Sameer Vidwans to artistes Sagar Deshmukh, Saii Tamhankar, Mukta Barve, Parna Pethe were present. The trailer of this film clearly indicated that each one of the artistes were playing variety of characters, with a big surprise coming from Saii Tamhankar, who is playing the character of a simple looking bespectacled god fearing woman. Mukta Barve is playing a mod girl, while Parna Pethe plays an unusual character of a Mod girl, who is studying Sanskrit.
The film has already raised curiosity over its title. Now, it remains to be seen, how it defines its title, when the film is released on 12th August 2016.
