Mast Chalalay Aamcha’ to be premiered on Zee Marathi
There are no Marathi films released this week but there is a surprise packet form Zee Marathi in the form of World TV premiere of their recently released film ‘Mast Chalalay Aamcha’ on Sunday 26th June at 7 pm. This Zee Talkies film, which is a non stop comedy, revolves around Madhav Bhat, a well educated person who is also a senior manager in a bank. He has a very respectful position in the society. But his daughter disappoints him when she gets married with an auto-driver, Baban.
Madhav Bhat hates Baban & tries to break their relation in almost every possible way. But his wife, Seema, supports Baban. The situation turns worse when Madhav Bhat lands into trouble and Baban helps him in his ‘own style’. The film manages to keep the viewers engaged from start till end.
Bharat Jadhav , the superstar of Marathi films and theater plays the lead role of Madhav Bhat in the company of well known comedy actress Vishakha Subhedar, who’s playing the role of his wife Seema. Other star-cast comprises of well known Marathi TV and film actors like Bhushan Kadu (as Baban), Bhalachandra Kadam, Kamlakar Saatpute, Kishori Ambiye and Vijay Patkar.
The story by Sachin Mote and screenplay by Sachin Goswami and Sachin Mote the film the film is directed by renowned Marathi theater director-writer Sachin Goswami. Vaishali Samant and Amir Hadkar have provided music to this film.
STAR Pravah crosses 200 GRP mark!
STAR Pravah, the Marathi General Entertainment Channel continues it’s ascend on the ratings charts as it crossed the 200 GRP mark in Wk 24’11. The Channel has been slowly emerging as the viewer’s most favourite choice. Thanks to their popular show Bhanda Saukhya Bhare emerged as the slot leader at the 6.30 pm time band with 2.8 TRPs. While Swapnanchya Palikadle rules the 8.00 pm slot with a 2.2 TRP, Bandh Reshmanche hopped to the top position at the 8.30 time band with a TRP of 2.
According to TAM Media Research, STAR Pravah has recorded the highest GRPs of 215 Wk 20-Wk 24*. The popularity of the channel is evident in the timespent numbers where Star Pravah scores the highest with 164 minutes of timepent. Incidentally, Star Pravah will bring to your screen, an event which celebrates the 50 glorious years of Maharashtra showcasing the history of Maharashtra, various art forms and entertainment with distinguished guests like Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan and eminent celebrities from Marathi Entertainment industry.
Singer is not a machine”- Ajay-Atul
The 10th season of IDEA Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a biggest platform for musical talent in Marathi industry, has started with a new look. With the beginning of this programme, we find the new logo of Zee. But, what is more surprising is to find popular music duo- Ajay-Atul playing the role of judges for this reality show. Another surprise comes in the form of young, talented and charming actress Priya Bapat, who will host this show.
A press conference was called by Zee Marathi at The Grand Central, Mumbai on 20th evening to introduce the 24 selected singers, who will compete in this reality show. Ajay-Atul, who were present on the occasion, were welcomed by Executive Vice President of Zee TV Ms. Sharda Sunder. Speaking on the occasion, both Ajay and Atul praised the 24
participants for possessing an extra ordinary talent . “They are the real diamonds chosen by us and we are sure, you all will appreciate their performance. No matter, who wins, but according to us, all of them are the best. We have treated them well and we also saw to it that they were at ease during rehearsals. Small mistakes are bound to happen and therefore we offered them a chance to be more perfect, for the kind of talent they possessed”. “A singer is not a machine,” they added.

Makarand Anaspure Film Festival on Zee Talkies
Zee Talkies will present Maharashtra’s favourite Comedian- Makarand Anaspure’s films in the form of week long film festival from 20th till 25 June @ 6.30 pm on Zee Talkies.
Incidentally, Makarand’s birthday (Wednesday,22 June) also coincides with this festival. On his birthday, Zee Talkies will celebrate the entire day with his hit songs and popular film scenes besides the film.

Sharmishtha Raut to make her debut on stage
Sharmishtha Raut, who had invited the attention of the audience through her negative role of Neerjaa in Star Pravah’s ‘Mann Udhaan Varyache’, has finally said goodbye to this serial only to make her debut on stage. She will now be seen in Shekhar Phadke’s new Marathi play ‘Jo Bhi Hoga Dekha Jayega’ to be launched by end of this month.
Muhurat of this new play was held recently with the blessings of veteran actor Jayant Savarkar. Shekhar Phadke who has Produced and directed this play, also plays an important role in this comedy play. Nisha, who makes her debut on stage through this play, seems to have taken up the challenge in the company of newcomers like Amruta Sakpal and Sangram Salvi.
Balgandharva Award for Mukund Marathe
Popular classical singer and actor Mukund Marathe will be honoured with the prestigious Balgandharva Award. The award which has been instituted by Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natyaparishad, will be presented by the chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Prithviraj Chavan.
Son of Pandit Ram Marathe (who also bagged the same award in 1975) Mr. Mukund has contributed to Marathi stage with about a dozen of classical music based plays for the past several years. His new play ‘Jai Jai Gaurishankar’ will be staged shortly, in which he will play Lord. Shankara. Incidentally, the family shares double happiness, with the selection of his daughter Swarangi Marathe for the Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande
Lifetime Achievement awards for Sulbha Deshpande and Fayyaz
Two veteran actresses namely Sulbha Deshpande and Fayyaz have been honoured with Lifetime achievement awards for their contribution to Marathi stage and Classical based Marathi plays respectively. While Ms. Deshpande received the Natavarya Prabhakar Panshikar award, Ms. Fayyaz was honored with newly instituted Annasaheb Kirloskar award .
Each award comprised of Rs. 1 lakh besides the citation and were presented by the chief minister Prithviraj Chavan in a specially held function in Mumbai.
Kunal Ganjawala to appear in ‘Awaaz Maharashtracha’
Popular Bollywood singer Kunal Ganjawala is all set to play a new role of a Guest Judge in the Reality show ‘Aawaaz Maharashtracha’ on Mee Marathi channel.
The show has Asha Bhosale playing as Chief Judge besides two other judges played by Sadhana Sargam and Anand Shinde. Kunal will offer guidance to the talented participants selected for this show.
From among these 10 singers from all over Maharashtra, Asha Bhosale will decide the final winner. The first part of this programme begins on 13th and 14th June 2011 and will be telecast every Monday and Tuesday at 9pm on Mee Marathi.
Abaas Haa’ on an unexpected turn.
Zee Marathi’s new serial ‘Abhaas Haa’ is on the mode of taking an unexpected turn in its screenplay. In the forthcoming episode Aryaa gets kidnapped on the wedding day of Maithili. The kidnapping being organised by wedding planner Arjun. As a result, Aryaa gets confused, as to why she has been kidnapped. In the meanwhile, Jaywant is accused of ruining his sister’s marriage and kidnapping of Aryaa. The reason behind the kidnapping lies a secret burried 15 years ago.
Apoorva Nemlekar, who plays Aryaa is making her debut through this serial. ‘Abhaas Haa’ is being telecast Monday to Saturday at 8.30 pm on Zee Marathi channel
