Marathi Web Film ‘We 2′ gets 9.7 rating on IMDB
Marathi Web Film ‘We 2′ released on Amazon Prime two weeks ago has received 9.7 rating on IMDB. No wonder, this 55 minutes web film film is currently the talk of web film lovers. The team of this film is also showered with praises through social media.According to the makers of this film, the audience in UK, US, Japan and Germany appreciated the film a lot after watching it. The film has also released in India on MX Player last week.
Along with Prashant Patil and Bageshree Deshpande in the lead roles, the film also stars Sohan Nandoordikar, Leena Nandi. Cinematographer Bunty Deshpande has directed a movie for the first time on the occasion of ‘We2′. Prashant has played an important role on two important fronts namely singing and acting. Along with the lead role, Prashant has also sung in this film. Prashant has sung a duet with Anandi Joshi and has sung two solo songs in Marathi and Hindi. Prashant has previously directed the popular Marathi film ‘Pinddaan’. Apart from this, Prashant and Bunty have also done a Hindi web series for MX Player. This is Prashant and Bunty’s first film after the lockdown.
‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ getting ready for release
Much talked about Marathi film ‘Ghar Banduk Biryani’ by Nagraj Manjule produced in association with Zee Studios is getting ready for release during the new year 2023. The shooting of this film has been completed. In the past Nagraj Manjule and Zee Studios had made successful films like ‘Fandry’, ’Sairat’ and ‘Naal’ and therefore there is a lot of curiosity about this film’s subject. Though Nagraj Manjule has produced this film, he will not be directing it. The film is directed by Hemant Jangal Awtade. But, Nagraj Manjule will be playing an important role of a Policeman in this film.
Along with Nagraj, the film also stars Sayaji Shinde and Aakash Thosar in lead roles with others.This film will be released simultaneously in Marathi, Hindi Tamil and Telugu languages. Speaking about his film, Nagraj Manjule says, “ I have worked with Zee Studios in the past and my experience of working with them was very satisfying. I am happy for having completed the shooting of this film, but at the same time I have turned emotional for having spent so many days together with my unit. It was a pleasure working with versatile actor like Sayaji Shinde . Aakash with whom I had worked earlier is a talented hard working actor.”
Trailer of ‘Saath Sobat’ released
The trailer of the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Saath Sobat’, which has generated a lot of curiosity since unveiling of its teaser, has been been released. This trailer explains the true meaning of its title ‘Saath Sobat’. ‘Saath Sobat’ is due for release on January 13, 2023. The trailer launch ceremony of ‘Saath Sobat’ was held in a grand manner at Famous studio in Mahalakshmi. The ceremony was attended by some dignitaries including artists and technicians. Presented by Prasanna Vaidya, ‘Saath Sobat’ is produced by Dhanji Maru under the banner Maru Enterprises. Besides direction, the writing of this film has also been done by the director Ramesh More, who has gained fame at the national and international level. Sameer Dixit and Rishikesh Bhirangi of Pickle Entertainment will look after the distribution of the film across Maharashtra.
The trailer of ‘Saath Sobat’ begins with the dialogue that tells the successful mantra of life. Actor Sandesh Jadhav to play Police Officer for the first time in a Marathi play
Popularly known for his character of a Police officer in Marathi films and TV serials, Actor Sandesh Jadhav will now be playing a Police officer in a suspense filled Marathi play ‘You Must Die’ . This play is produced by Aditi Rao, written by Niraj Shirvaikar and directed by Vijay Kenkre. Along with Sandesh Jadhav, this play also stars Sharvari Lohakare, Saurabh Gokhale, Neha Kulkarni, Ajinkya Bhosale, Harshal Mhamunkar, Pramod Kadam, Vinita Date and Dhanesh Potdar.
Speaking about his role in this play, Sandesh Jadhav says,” Having played a Police officer in so many films and TV serials, I was actually avoiding to play a Police officer in Marathi plays and had even rejected such offers. But, when this offer to play a Police officer in ‘You Must Die’ came to me, I was impressed by the story. Moreover, this play was directed by Vijay kenkre and therefore I agreed to play this role. My role has different shades and therefore I get the pleasure of presenting them live on stage.”
No wonder, his role in this play and this suspense filled play is well accepted by the audience.
‘Dheyadhund’ Best play in Ravikiran Children’s Play competition

36th Children’s play competition by Ravikiran group, was recently at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi. This competition received overwhelming response from different groups. It was inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Rokade, Director of P.L. Deshpande Academy . On the second day,renowned Production designer Pradeep Mulye was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners. Actress Vimal Mhatre, Dr. Madhuri Vinayak Gavande and Dhananjay Sardeshpande were the Judges for this competition. ‘Dheyadhund’ play was adjudged the best play in this competition.

This competition was held in memory of Late Jyotiram Kadam Sir formerly from Dr.K.M.S, Shirodkar High School. Mentioning about this the Programme Presenter Mr. Nagesh Vandre said ,”it was the wish of Kadam Sir that Ravikiran Group should organize Children’s play competitions and he had mentioned this way back in 1984.” On this occasion a book with the collection of plays written by Kadam Sir were distributed to the representatives of the schools present on this occasion.
