‘Free Hit Danka’ to be released on 17th December

Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Free Hit Danka’ is based on the subject of cricket, which is written and directed by Sunil Magare on the backdrop of a village. Recently, the teaser of this film was unveiled on social media, where we find ‘Fandry’ fame actor Somnath Avghade playing his strokes.
According to the makers of this film, this film presents the struggle experienced in the game of cricket, besides the enthusiasm , various strategies and toughness of village level players . The cricket match played between two villages out of the rivalry between the two leaders is the highlight of this film. Makers of ‘Jhimma’ arrange special show for Team ‘Pandu’
Makers of much talked about Marathi film ‘Jhimma’ recently organised a special show of their film, inviting the entire team of the film ‘Pandu‘ which is made by Zee Studios. This was a fine gesture on the part of makers of ‘Jhimma’ and the team of ‘Pandu’ also reciprocated well by appreciating the film ‘Jhimma’ on this occasion. The coming together of two teams has clearly shown that there is no business rivalry between Marathi film makers, as far as the film business is concerned.
Director of ‘Jhimma’ Mr. Hemant Dhome who spoke on this occasion, said “This is the best example to display cordial relationship that exists among different producers in Marathi film industry, unlike Hindi film industry. ‘Ek Number’ to release on 28th January 2022
The race for release of their films is already on among the film producers. But, some film makers have preferred to release their films in the new year 2022. We are already aware that Milind Kavde directed new Marathi film ‘Ek Number’ has become a talk of the social media viewers, ever since the bold poster of this film was released. Now, the makers of this film have announced the release date of this film in the new year i.e. 28th January 2022.
Produced by Mahesh Shivaji Dhumal, Jitendra Shivaji Dhumal and Milind Kavde under the banner of Dhumal Productions in collaboration with Out of The Box Films, there are big expectations from this film on the lines of ‘Takatak’, which was also directed by Milind Kavde. ‘Manach Pakharu’ New song of ‘Darling’ released
After releasing the title song followed by romantic song ‘Yeh Hai Pyar’, the makers of Marathi film ‘Darling (डार्लिंग )’ have released the new song from their film ‘Manach Pakharu….’ for music lovers. This song penned by Mandar Cholkar is rendered by Shubhangi Kedar on the music of Chinar-Mahesh. The beginning of this song is set on the backdrop of Haldi ceremony before the traditional Maharashtriyan wedding with Sanai music in the backdrop, inviting all the attention.
Ritika Shrotri looks very pretty in this song, with emotions filled in her eyes. One thing is sure that the songs of this film will play an important role. Babasaheb Purandare passes away at 99
Writer, historian and theatre personality Balwant Moreshwar Purandare popularly known as Babasaheb Purandare passed away early hours today. He was 99. He was undergoing treatment for Pnemonia at Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. Babasaheb was an authority on all the information about Shiv Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj . He had made all efforts to bring alive the epoch of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj through his 900 page magnum opus ‘Raja Shiv Chhatrapati’ which was first published in 1950.
During his young age, Babasaheb started writing stories related to the period of Great Maratha King Shivaji’s reign, which were later compiled and published in a book titled ‘Thinagya’ ( Sparks) . His other works include books titled ‘Raja ShivChhatrapati’, ‘Kesari’ and a book on life of Narayanrao Peshwa. But the most well-known of his works is the mega drama, ‘Janata Raja’ a widely popular play on Shivaji Maharaj published and first staged in 1985. Since then the drama has been staged over 1000 times in 16 districts of Maharashtra, Agra, Delhi, Bhopal, and the United States.
A 2008 TV show ‘Raja ShivChhatrapati’ depicting the life of the great Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj was based on the novel of Babasaheb Purandare. With his passing away, we have lost a great historian.

Trailer of Bhushan Pradhan and Prarthana Behere starrer film ‘Ajinkya’ has been released on social media, which has received very good response. Written and directed by debutant A. Hemant Dhome directed film ‘Jhimma’ will be the first Marathi film to be released in theatres after reopening of the cinema theatres after the long lockdown period. And therefore, there is a lot of curiosity among the Marathi film lovers about this film. Recently, the makers of this film Amey Vinod Khopkar Entertainment , Crazy Few Films , presenters Chalchitra Company and director Hemant Dhome released the trailer of this film in a preview theatre in Mumbai, to give a feel of cinema hall to the invited media persons.
Speaking on this occasion, director Hemant Dhome said, “After a long period of lockdown, cinema halls are opening for filmlovers and going to cinema halls is safe now. ‘Kesari’ fame Virat Madake leaves for Mangalore to shoot for new film
Marathi actor Virat Madake who shot into prominence after release of his debut film ‘Kesari’ is known for his strong built. Originally from Kolhapur, Virat first stepped into acting field while studying his Engineering, when he performed on stage through experimental plays. While he performed in one act plays, he also paid more attention on his physique, by shaping his body, which enabled him to find his role in the film ‘Kesari’.
