Samir Karnik’s Marathi film ‘Aathva Rang Premacha’ to release on 17th June

With his new Marathi film ‘Aathva Rang Premacha’ (आठवा रंग प्रेमाचा) popular Hindi film maker Samir Karnik will make his debut as a producer in Marathi films. This film starring Rinku Rajguru and Vishal Anand in the lead and directed by Khushboo Sinha will be released all over Maharashtra in theatres on 17th June 2022, as per the announcement made by his Top Angle Productions. Vishal Anand is also making his debut in Marathi through this film.

It may be recalled that as a director Samir Karnik had already made his presence felt in Hindi through his earlier film ‘Kyon Ho Gaya Na’, followed by his films as a producer – ‘Yamla Pagala Diwana’,’Char Din Ki Chandni’,’ Heroes’ and ‘Nanhe Jaisalmer’. Now, through his latest Marathi film ‘Aathva Rang Premacha’ he is presenting different shades of love and keeping the film lovers guessing which will be the eighth colour of love. The poster of this film has already raised the expectations of the people about this film.
Sunil Sukthankar distributes PM Shah Foundation awards

The award ceremony of 10th Arogya Chitrapat Mahotsav organised by PM Shah Foundation, took place recently. National Award winning director Sunil Sukthankar was the chief guest and he distributed the prizes to the winners. Ad. Chetan Gandhi was also present on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest said, “During the past days, one had to spend Rs. 13,000/- to buy a reel to make a film of 4 minutes duration. Now, due to digitalisation, film making has become much easier, which is a good news. This has also helped people living at District places to make films.”
In the documentary section, the First prize was won by ‘Rebirth’ directed by Dinesh Vasantrao Aakhade, while in the short film section ‘Aarsa’ written by Ashish Ningurkar and directed by Ganesh Modak, won the first prize. This short film stars talented Shweta Pagar along with Sanket Kashyap, Chaitra Bhujbal, Geetanjali Kambli,Dr. Smita Kasar and Vaishnavi Velapure. Cinematography is by Yogesh Andhare.
Multi starrer ‘Dil Dimag aur Batti’ gets ready for release on 22nd April

Multi starrer Marathi film ‘Dil Dimag aur Batti’ which introduces newcomer Sagar Sant is now all set to release on 22nd April 2022. Recently, the trailer and music launch of this film took place in a big way. On this happy occasion, the entire star cast of this film along with writer director Hrishikesh Gupte, presenter Dr. Nivedita Ekbote and technicians of the film were present.
Earlier the poster of this film had taken the viewers down memory lane of the Eastman colour period of 80s and now the trailer of this film has promised them dual entertainment. It will offer the entertainment formula of 80s in the present time. Highlight of this film is the entry of an promising actor like Sagar Sant, who has already proved his ability as an actor on Marathi stage through Purshottam Karandak one act plays, followed by his experience of directing a Hindi short film.

New Marathi film ‘Gadad’ will be based on Scuba Diving

Marathi films are attempting something new. Now, for the first time in Marathi cinema, the film lovers will witness scuba diving. Upcoming Marathi film ‘Gadad (गडद)’ will be shot underwater. A motion poster of this film was launched recently in presence of Meghraj Rajebhosale President Akhil Bhartiya Chitrapat Mahamandal, Producer, Director, Artists & Technicians.
Made under the banner of Ilula Feature Vision Pvt Ltd., this film is produced by Capt. Awadhesh Singh and Varsha Singh and is directed by Pradnesh Kadam. Shooting of this film has already started in Maldives and Goa, after announcement of this film. This being an adventure filled film, there is lot of curiosity about this film among youngsters.

The film stars Mitali Mayekar, Suyog Gorhe, Shubhangi Tambale, Nitin Gawande and Aarti Shinde. The music is by Rohit Shyam Raut and the cinematography is by Venkatesh Prasad. Abhishek Khankar has written the lyrics for ‘Gadad’ and Adinath Pohankar has provided the background music. The costumes are by Kiran Burade.
Poster of new Marathi film ‘Samrenu’ released

Poster of new Marathi film ‘Samrenu’ starring Mahesh Dongre and Ruchita Mangde was released by Pankaja Munde recently. ‘Directed by Mahesh Dongre himself, ‘Samrenu’ will be an intense love story of Samya and Renu . Interestingly, the film has a tagline ‘Survaat Mahatwachi Naay,Shevat Mahatvachay…’ ( Beginning is not important but the end is…) . On the poster of this film, the lead pair is clearly seen.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Pankaja Munde said, “I am very keen to see the release of this film, as the producer belongs to my Beed district and entire shooting of this film has taken place in Beed. I am giving my best wishes to the entire team of this film.” Actor – director Mahesh Dongre reacted, “ This is a love story. I would not like to disclose much about the story but I can tell you that the music composed by Suraj- Dheeraj is very impressive. and the songs will be appreciated by the audience. “

This film is presented by M.R. Film World and well known singers like Kunal Ganjawala, Neeti Mohan, Aadarsh Shinde and Ajay Gogavale have rendered their voices for the songs in this film.
Shooting of ‘Shyamchi Aai’ begins in Pawas

‘Shyamchi Aai’ reminds us of the great mother presented by Sane Guruji through his book. Few days ago director Sujay Dahake had announced his film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ with the feeling in his mind that the new generation should know about this great mother. Now, shooting of this film has started at a holy place Pawas, Off Ratnagiri in Konkan. Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Uday Samant was the chief guest on this occasion.
The first Shooting schedule has started. Shooting of Shyamchi Aai, which plans to complete in two schedules. In today’s colourful but materialistic world this film is expected to take the audience back to the old days as it will be presented in black and white. Sane Guruji wrote the book ‘Shyamchi Aai’ out of immense love, devotion and gratitude for his mother. Director Sujay Dahake is trying to present some aspects of this which have been neglected till date.

Through his past films, Sujay has always tried to offer something different from the mainstream. He has already won national awards through ‘Shala’, has entertained the audience by making diverse and innovative movies like ‘Phuntroo’, ‘Ajoba’, ‘Kesari’. The film ‘Shyamchi Aai’ is the next step on this path, for which he has done a lot of research.
‘My Dad’s Wedding’ will be Subhash Ghai’s new Marathi film

On the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa, popular film maker Subhash Ghai announced his new Marathi film ‘My Dad’s Wedding’ with the release of this film’s poster on social media. The names of the artistes have not been announced yet, but the shooting of this film will take place in London. This film will be directed by Lokesh Vijay Gupte.

The title of this film clearly suggests that the film’s story will be a new subject to Marathi audience and besides Marathi other language like English is most likely to be used in the dialogues.Speaking about this film director Lokesh Gupte says, “Till now, I have been looking after the work of Subhash Ghai. He has rich experience in the film industry. And therefore, working for his film is itself a big thing for me. Though the names of the artistes haven’t been announced, you will see all versatile artistes in the star cast of this film. This will be a family film speaking about relations.”
Subhash Ghai feels that the subject of his film is different. “ In Marathi film industry, story plays an important role and therefore I am always eager to make Marathi films. I shall continue to make more Marathi films with good subjects in future,” he added.
‘Gulhar’ poster launched on auspicious Gudi Padwa day

The story plays a very important role in the success of Marathi film. Therefore, now days Marathi film makers are paying attention to this aspect. On the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa makers of Marathi film Shantaram (Appa) Medage, Shivaji Bhintade, Anup Shinde, Abid Syed launched the poster of their film ‘Gulhar (गुल्हर)’. This film presents Ravi Kale and Bhargavi Chirmule in the lead roles for the first time together and the story of this film revolves around an 11 year old boy. This itself clearly indicates that their roles author backed.

Background music is by Kedar Divekar and sound design by Nikhil Lanjekar and Himanshu Ambekar. The film has already won prestigious awards at various film festivals and will now be released on 6th May 2022 all over Maharashtra.
‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ to release on 6th May

On the occasion of Shahid Divas recently, Producer Dr. Ashish Agarwal, Presenters SB Creations and director Pandurang Krushna Jadhav announced the release date of their film ‘Bharat Majha Desh Aahe’ as 6th May 2022. The teaser of this film had already indicated that it will be a Patriotic film .

The film stars two child stars Rajveersigh Gaikwad ( popularly known as ‘Ladoo’ on small screen) and Devanshi Sawant along with popular artistes like Mangesh Desai, Shashank Shende, Chhaya Kadam, Hemangi Kavi and Namrata Salokhe in lead roles. Director Pandurang Krushna Jadhav has himself written the story of this film with screenplay and dialogues by Natharam Dhapse. Lyrics by Sameer Samant and music by Ashwin Srinivas are the other credits. The film has a tagline ‘Ahinsa Paramo Dharma’.

The first Teaser & poster of ‘Sher Shivraj’ released

Digpal Lanjekar who had successfully directed earlier Marathi films like ‘Farzand’, ‘Fatteshikast’ and very recently released his film ‘Pawankhind, is now getting ready to release his next film ‘Sher Shivraj’. Through this film Digpal has focussed on how Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj killed Afzal Khan at Pratapgad fort.
It may be recalled that the Slaughtering of Afzal Khan is an important chapter in the history of Shivaji Maharaj’s period. We can say that then ‘Hindavi Swarajya’ was established in the true sense.
