Chhaya Kadam is happy with her first State Award for Best Supporting actress
Talented Actress Chhaya Kadam has always been maintaining a very low profile. Last year, she was very close to winning the state award but was unlucky not to bag the same. However, this year proved to be lucky for her. Her dream of winning the state award has come true. This year Chhaya was awarded the best supporting actress Maharashtra State award for her performance in the film ‘Nude‘.
After receiving this award, Chhaya said, “Winning this prestigious Maharashtra State award is a big achievement for me. This also makes my family members very happy besides myself. This award also indicates how much people love my work. I don’t think anything else is important than this award.” Chhaya was also all praise for Ravi Jadhav.
It may be recalled that Chhaya made the beginning of her acting career with Waman Kendre’s play ‘Jhulwa‘ and later made her debut in Marathi films through ‘Baimanoos‘ with the help of Arun Nalawade. Chhaya was also part of Nagraj Manjule’s two award-winning films, namely ‘Fandry‘ and ‘Sairat‘ in which she played prominent roles.
