Somebody has rightly said, “If you want to brighten the place you live in, be a source of light.” Over the years, Marathi cinema offered so many talented stars, who were almost like source of light. They past on the light to the next generation of artistes. Today many of them may not be alive, but they have left memories of their fine performances in hearts of film lovers.

Fakt Marathi TV channel, which has been offering some good films from time to time, will now be paying tributes to those artistes who had created their own identity, through their memorable performances during the past two –three decades, but are no more existing in this world. So, to pay tributes to these departed stars namely Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kuldeep Pawar, Vinay Apte, Reema Lagoo, Satish Tare & Ashwini Ekbote. 

Through their programme titled Smrutichitre’s Fakta Marathi will be offering films of these stars for a week starting from 23^rd December onwards.   Fakt Marathi Business head Shyam Kelkar made this announcement , stating that during the week , those films will be shown at 7 pm daily.
