Prabhakar Pendharkar son of Bhalji Pendharkar passed away today in Pune.

A noted writer and director, Prabhakar Pendharkar had released an autobiography of a film studio in Marathi last year. He had many other writings to his credit. He directed some good films directed by him were “Shabbaas Sunbai”, “Bal Shivaji” “Bhaav Tethe Dev” and also “Balak Shibaji (In Bengali)” for the Children’s film society.

It may be recalled that this veteran of Marathi film industry was also associated with film maker V. Shantaram, during the making of the film “Do Aankhen Barah Haath”.
