Every Marathi filmmaker is using new methods to promote his film. Some believe in disclosing well in advance the artistes of their films and then keep promoting their film, using them as brand ambassadors on social networking sites. Some film makers opt for new artistes, so that they can quickly finish their project and the film comes as a surprise for audience.

But, in the case of forthcoming film ‘Dagadi Chawl’ the makers have kept a secret about the main character of the film, even after the shooting of the film is over. Now, just about a moth left for the film’s release, Mangal Murti films and Sai Puja Films, who are releasing this film, with the direction by Chandrakant Kanse, have unveiled the teaser of this film, just giving the glimpse of the main character of ‘Daddy’ in sitting position, with his face partly seen, sporting a cap and moustache. And, it clearly gives an impression that he could be none other than Makarand Anaspure .

Incidentally, Ankush Choudhary and Pooja Sawant are  also part of this film. But, don’t really know, what characters they are playing.

‘Dagadi Chawl’ which was known  for gangster activities during 80s and 90s, was  also official residence of  a gangster turned Political leader , popularly known as ‘daddy’. But, the film is not about the gangster activities. It is about how, a common man was dragged into gangster activity. The makers of this film will be presenting a love story of the lead character. The film will be released on 2^nd October 2015.
