After bringing one of his plays ‘Lochya Jhala Re’ into cinematic form through ‘Kho Kho’ only few days back, director Kedar Shinde is all set to release his another play into cinematic form with ‘Shrimant Damodarpant’. Luckily for him, this time he has found support from a new producer Saurabh Pradhan, who is making his film debut through his company ‘Cottstown Pictures Pvt. Ltd.’ Presently his Cottstown is into manufacture of readymade garments with the brand ‘Bombay High’.
The first look of this film was released by Kedar Shinde on Wednesday night, in presence of entire cast of the film and media representatives. Lead hero Bharat Jadhav, while speaking on the occasion lauded the efforts of Kedar Shinde and appealed to him to get all his plays converted into cinematic form; as they had suitable script to entertain the audience.
Kedar invited all those behind making of this film beginning with producer Saurabh Pradhan, followed by artistes beginning with Bharat Jadhav, Alka kubal Athlye , Vijay Chavan, Jairaj Nayar, Piyush Ranade, Chaitrali Gupte, Abhinay Sawant ( son of Nirmiti Sawant), Varad Chavan, Deepak Alegaonkar and Mrunal Dusanis, who is making her film debut through this film. However, Sunil Barve, who is working for the first time with Kedar Shinde, however, could not make it for the function.
Being a good host, Kedar Shinde made a special mention of veteran editing master V.N.Mayekar , who was present on the occasion and called him to the dais, besides other technical experts and music director Vaishali Samant. Mr. Mayekar has edited this film alongwith Pareh Manjrekar The film is all set to release on 26th July 2013, along with two other Marathi films ’72 Miles Ek Pravas’ and ‘Time Please – Love Story Lagnanantarchi’. And this will certainly divide the audience. By the way, there is no Marathi film releasing on coming Friday i.e. 5th July.
