Females from foreign countries seem to be more interested in Marathi films. First, it was Billiona Rodonich making her debut with Marathi film ‘Foreign Chi Patlin’. Then, producer director Samruddhi Porey engaged Stacy Bee to play an important role in ‘Mala Aai Vhaychay’. And now, we find Kristin Piesker from Germany, making her film debut through Gajendra Ahire’s new Marathi film ‘Pipani’, which is all set to release on 12th October 2012.

Kristin was present during the press show of this film in Mumbai and was all excited to watch her performance on screen, in presence of other artistes of the film Kranti Redkar, Vaibhav Mangale and Hemangi kavi, who were seated next to her. Kristin plays the role of a Hollywood film director in this film, who is making a film to capture the real situation in a village in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, known for farmer’s suicides.

While speaking to Marathi Movie World, after the show, Kristin said that she was more than happy to see the good team work in this film. “I was lucky to find this role through Dr. Mohan Agashe, who recommended me to film maker Gajendra Ahire, who was looking for someone like me, associated with film making. My involvement during the Pune Film festival as a delegate, helped me to interact with people from Marathi film industry, who were all good to me. I liked Maharashtrian culture, during my nine month stay in Pune. I have seen few sensible marathi films, but don’t remember their names,” she concluded.
