Kokan is the crown of Maharashtra. Pu. La Deshpande, Ga. Di. Malgulkar, Jaywant Dalvi and many more Marathi artists bestowed us with their realization of Kokan. Malvani jokes and Gajali are not only popular in Kokan but also through out the Maharashtra. To catch the same popularity and cherish our memories, Zee Marathi is coming up with a new serial ‘Malvani Days’ produced by Iris production and directed by Rajesh Deshpande. The serial would be broadcasted on every Friday at 9.30 on only Zee Marathi from 1st of May.
Nature has gifted all the beauties to Kokan. But the region is as mysterious as its beauty. Kokni people are perfect reflection of Kokan, just like jackfruit, hard from the top but good by heart, Slanted like Kokni routes and as wacky as the nature. ‘Malvani Days’ is the perfect reflection of Malvani characters. The serial has not any limitation of time, subject of character. It aims to provide best entertainment to audiences.
The story takes place at a ‘Tapri’ of Babi Gaonkar- a typical Malvani character. Just like any other Kokni village, this Tapri is place of time pass for whole village. A retired politician Tatya Rane, unemployed after strike of mill ” Janya Parab” and retired school teacher ‘Tendulkar Guruji'” are the other regular characters who provides “sensational” and “breaking” news of the village at ‘Tapri.’ Apart from them many visitors like police, guests, postman, government officials are some of the other characters who adds perfect malvani flavor to the serial.
The serial is jam-packed with many Marathi stars including Atul Parchure, Nirmitee Savant, Paddy kamble, Sharad Ponkshe and many more. As the names are self exclamatory to describe the high level performance.
Malvani lifestyle, culture stories are undisputable part of Maharashtra culture. It is not just about entertainment but Malvani stories include deeply rooted culture, morals and values of Maharashtra and that’s what cleverly come out with ‘Malvani Days’.
